Star Wars: Rise of SkyWalker Movie Review!!

The Rise of Skywalker is the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga. Since the adventures of Luke, the galaxy is at war with the Empire, later becoming the First Order. In this final installment, Darth Sidious has returned to attempt his ultimate plan of controlling the galaxy. The theme of this film is similar to that of Return of the Jedi. To date, The Rise of Skywalker grossed $1.074 billion dollars. Since the release of this film, the world was introduced to Disney Plus, featuring all Star Wars films including mini-series that will tie the films together such as the Mandalorian and Obi Wan Kenobi.

Sidious transferred his consciousness to a clone body before his destruction on the Second Death Star. Since then, Sidious struggled to bring his cloned body to full power and mobility. Even in his weaken state, the Emperor is able to continue his reign in the First Order through Snoke. His final design was a massive fleet of Sith Destroyers, each with the power to destroy planets like the Death Star and the StarKiller Base. What the Emperor needed most was a way to keep the Sith alive, so he attempted to get Kylo Ren to kill Rey or have Rey kill himself. In either case, the Emperor was attempting to shift his consciousness into a fresh Force sensitive body. Instead, Sidious accidentally discovered the power to absorb the pair’s Force connection to restore his own body and it strengthen his power substantially. Since Palpatine has achieved different forms of survival, why would he allow himself to be taken down by his own power, in the same fashion that scarred him when he battled Mace Windu? Before Palpatine was destroyed by Rey, did he still transfer his consciousness into her as he originally planned to do if she slayed him?

Kylo Ren’s path continues deeper in the dark side. Still desiring to become equal with Vader, his journey brought him face to face with the fallen Emperor. Palpatine insured Ren that his power could be even greater than Vader if he obeyed him, a feat Ren didn’t consider for himself out of respect for his grandfather. Sidious also revealed to Ren that it was he who has been impersonating the spirit Darth Vader, a voice Ren has been following through this entire series. Even though Ren has Sidious in his head, he still wants to take the power for himself and recruit Rey by his side, as the Sith Rule of Two tradition states. During the span of this series, Ren and Snoke didn’t know of the Sith Order or how it should be operated. They only knew of the dark side, and they were the only two at the time wielding the dark force. The death of Leia broke his connection to the dark side, and he used his power to help Rey against Palpatine at the cost of his own life. Ren strived to become Vader’s equal, but he didn’t know he his actions was already running parallel to his grandfather’s path of the dark side. Fans want to know…, why didn’t Ben Solo appear as a Force Spirit with Luke and Leia, like his grandfather did along with Yoda and Ben Kenobi when he returned to the light side of the Force upon his death?

Poe and Finn both have risen within the ranks of the Resistance and their dynamic partnership on missions created a strong friendship. We’ve seen Poe begin as a top fighter pilot, then becoming a General in the Resistance. His success in missions is backed with his super confidence and arrogance. As a Stormtrooper, Finn was trained to be an obedient soldier, but his rising powers within the Force helped him divert from the dark path the Order set for him. In this film we see Finn’s sensitivity to the Force growing to the point of clairvoyance. Will Finn’s character develop even further to the level of Jedi, in possible future film or TV series with Disney Plus?

Rey is training to strengthen her powers within the Force, primarily the art of communion with Jedi spirits of the past. During the course of the film, Rey discovers her ability to heal the injured and instinctively wields Force Lightning. Rey is the granddaughter of Palpatine, a result of Palpatine’s clone escaping confinement and finding love. Now that Leia and Kylo Ren has passed, Rey is now the last Jedi. Before burying Luke and Leia’s lightsaber in the Tatooine desert, she constructed her own saber which represents being a Jedi Sentinel. If the galaxy is now at peace, why would Rey need to construct a new lightsaber? Now that the Skywalker Saga is complete, what new direction will Star Wars take?  What were your thoughts on this film? Mystique

Mystique is a master of disguise, because her mutant ability allows her to morph into any human or mutant at will. Mystique often mimics human forms because her blue skin stands out to public ridicule and torment. In addition to her morphing powers, Mystique’s level as an expert hand to hand combatant and covert operative rivals Black Widow, Domino and even Solid Snake in the world of espionage. Mystique is a foe that battles the X-Men on many occasions, primarily alongside her Brotherhood of Mutants, which is led by Magneto.

In the beginning, Mystique used her power to blend into society. While living the lives of various people, Mystique spawned two children. Her first child was Graydon Creed, a result of her fling with Sabretooth. Graydon was born a normal human who later became part of the political parties wanting to eradicate those with the X-Gene. Mystique’s next child was Nightcrawler, a result of her secret affair with Azazel. NightCrawler was also rejected by humans because of his physical appearance. Mystique later adopted Rogue as her own child when Rogue ran away from home at an early age. Rogue and NightCrawler later grew up to be a part of the X-Men, battling their own mother on different occasions…

mystique 5

Mystique made her live movies features with X-Men 1, 2, 3, First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. The image design for Mystique has changed from the comic book when introduced to the big screen. The smooth blue skinned; white appareled female was replaced with a naked reptilian skinned mutant. This gave Mystique a more abnormal look, putting more emphasis on her mutation. Did the change hurt Mystique’s character profile or did movie producers make an excellent choice?

Deadpool 2016

DEADPOOL REVIEW!!

This film is made for Ryan Reynolds. Placing Ryan as Green Lantern made that film seem more of a Marvel film. In the Deadpool film, that was made fun of with the beginning scene car wreck, the picture in the wallet! Also, this version of Deadpool was different than what we saw in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This also was made in a funny reference as a figurine. It was like the film of Deadpool was showing spoofs of the other Marvel films in this one. This Deadpool was closer to his comic origins than on X-Men Origins Wolverine. Deadpool is the second Marvel film to receive a R rating next to Blade, so no kids allowed!! The film started off action packed, then later slowed down to explain Deadpool’s origins. The film would have been even more interesting if Wolverine was used in this film instead of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. If Wolverine was in this movie, then we can see him R-rated as he should be. It is projected at the end of the film that Cable will be brought into the sequel. The film was an hour and 48 minutes. Comic Multiverse recommends this film to all comic fans who love Deadpool. This film was made with a budget of $58 million and sold $783.1 million dollars! Big success!!

Dislikes for the Film: NONE!!

Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix is among the most dangerous female villains in the comic book universe. Dark Phoenix is the evil embodiment of Phoenix Force, with Jean Grey as it’s host. Dark Phoenix wanted to separate everything connecting Jean Grey to her former life so destroying the cosmos would come as first choice. Trying to stop or even battling the Dark Phoenix would be considered suicide for whoever took on the feat. Attacking the mind of the host is the best chance in stopping such a force, as done by Professor X.The Phoenix Force is similar to DC Comic’s entity: The Parallax. When Hal Jordan became the host, he displayed much of his dark side as Jean did under such power. Cosmic entities merging directly to a humanoid host, amplifies the powers of the host at immeasurable levels, making them god like. The Phoenix Entity was even split apart to inhabit different hosts at once, creating the Phoenix Five. Do you think this Force could take on any of the Lantern Corps??Dark Phoenix made it to the silver screen with the X-Men 3 The Last Stand and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The Dark Phoenix is portrayed by Famke Janssen, who played Jean Grey throughout the X-Men movie series. What is your take on the image of Dark Phoenix? She didn’t seem like the out-of-control Dark Phoenix who reign destruction in the cosmos but more like a darker Jean Grey. Was that the best performance of Dark Phoenix or could movie producers have done more to show the power of such a dark entity…Is it possible that Dark Phoenix can be recruited into the Red Lantern Corps?! What would become of Jean Grey if she harbors the Phoenix Force, then wield the Red Power Ring?! To Be Continued….

Thor

As Son of Odin, Thor is among the strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe. Thor can be compared to the saiyan prince Vegeta. Arrogance, headstrong, battle thirsty and a constant need to prove themselves worthy to be among the greatest warriors. Both characters come from royalty, which creates the arrogance and prideful personality that blinded both characters from their true potential and wisdom.

Thor was exiled from Asgard to Earth to learn lessons in humility. While on Earth, Thor became a founding member of the super team The Avengers. Becoming a protector for the Earth helped Thor gain his respect back from his father and Asgard. Thor is a hero responsible for the citizens of Asgard as well as the people of Earth. AquaMan is also a hero that has dual roles. He is hero of Earth with the Justice League, and he is also a King in his underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

Thor is a great leader to his people of Asgard and admired by many. Being destined to become Lord of Asgard over his brother Loki, is what created tension between the brothers. Their rivalry is similar to the story of Cain and Abel in a sense of brotherly jealousy. Even though Loki is considered one of Thor’s greatest foes, Thor could never destroy his brother. Instead, Thor passes Loki up to Odin for judgement.

If recruited to the Blue Lantern Corps, how powerful do you think Thor would become? Would he still need Mjolnir? Or would his constructs be more powerful than the weapon?

Thor has made his evolution to film like many other characters in the Marvel Universe. The 2011, 2013 and the 2017 film brings Thor to life, with excellent special effects and intense action. Thor is also featured in The Avengers films 1, 2 and Infinity War, adding to his on-screen appearances. Did Marvel Studios hit their mark when casting Chris Hemsworth as Thor?

One of many crossovers hot topics is Thor vs Superman. Why? Both characters respectfully are the strongest warriors of their super teams. Who will win this match up or will this fight result in a draw? To be continued……

2019 Captain Marvel Movie Review!!

In the ending credits of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury realized the Earth was in danger and The Avengers were not available to face this threat. Nick sent out a signal to Captain Marvel, a new hero fans have yet to see on-screen. 2019 Captain Marvel grossed over $550 million dollar so far, overshadowing any doubt that Captain Marvel will perform well among the latest Marvel releases. Was Captain Marvel everything you expected?

Carol Danvers is a part of the StarForce, a team which is similar to the Nova Corps in the MCU. In fact, The Nova Empire and the Kree Empire have a peace treaty with one another, which created an uproar among many. We get to see this how life was during this treaty and the conflict it created with the help of the cameo appearances from Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer. Their appearance in this film help express their importance in the Guardians of the Galaxy film. Why do you think Captain Marvel is used in the cinematic universe instead of Nova, when Nova was in the original story when Earth heroes fought Thanos for the Gauntlet? What of Adam Warlock? Adam was mentioned at the end credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2. He had a major playing part in the fight against Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Will he make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame film?

The Skrulls made an appearance in this film, but their début was not as expected. Known as a villainous, devious warrior race in the comics, this version of the Skrulls turned out to be the victims of the Kree Empire. Mar-Vell was responsible for creating an engine which has lightspeed capabilities, an engine to help the remaining Skrulls evade the war and find a new home far away in the cosmos. Mar-Vell was killed for her secret project and the power core it has, which turned out to be the Tesseract. The likeness of Mar-Vell was then taken to become the Supreme Intelligence of the Kree, and this is where Carol uncovered the Kree’s true intentions which were completely hostile. In the comics, Mar-Vell was a male warrior and was known as Captain Marvel for quite some time in comic publications before changing that role to a female. Do you think it the change for Mar-Vell was just or was it nothing more than an unnecessary change producers made to the comic story?

The Stones that power the Gauntlet are from cosmic origins and they ultimately control the fundamentals of the universe. In the comic story, Thor was the strongest Avenger to battle Thanos. In the cinematic universe, Thor’s powers have doubled when fighting against his sister Hela, then increasing to greater heights after receiving Stormbreaker. Stormbreaker was specially designed by Eitri to combat the controlling power of the Gauntlet. This means that the full might of these weapons is determined by the will of the wielder. Are producers trying to convey that Captain Marvel could be perhaps stronger than Thor in the upcoming Endgame or will she just become another team player? Avengers Endgame will release April 26, 2019, answering all questions on where this story of the Infinity Gauntlet could be headedRelated image
What were your thoughts on Captain Marvel? Do you think she measures up to the universal threat laid before the Avengers?

Deadpool 2 Trailer Review!!!

Deadpool is back at it again, this time with much more action!!

It was surprising the first time around for Deadpool to produce big numbers from its small budge. Now with the full attention of comic fans around the world, Deadpool 2 will become a huge hit for the character once again, maybe even bigger! Reports even suggest that since Disney acquired more rights to the Marvel characters, it could be possible that Deadpool could run into many other of his Marvel counterparts himself! It seems Deadpool is on the same mission to protect mutants but this time he will have Cable to content with. A Will Deadpool battle then become partners with the futuristic mercenary? What’s interesting about Cable is that he is portrayed by Josh Brolin, who also is playing Thanos in the Avengers: Infinity War!!! Deadpool begins his mission on May 18th 2018!! Stay tuned for future review!!

Venom Trailer Review!!!

Comic fans have been waiting on this!!!

Venom 2018 is to be the first film where the villain is the main character and possibly becoming an anti-hero as suggested in the comics. We see Eddie Brock as a reporter in San Francisco, questioning the integrity of the infamous Life Foundation. It seems that the Foundation is in possession of multiple symbiotes and somewhat figured out its functions. The trailer exposes a female host, could this possibly be Scream? So if Venom is main character to this film, will we have Carnage as well? Since this film is with Sony Pictures and a standalone film, Venom will not be related to the MCU nor will he have any run ins with Spiderman. What do you think so far? Will this film become big enough to get a movie series or will it fall short after its first release??

Venom will release October 5th, 2018. Stay tuned for the future review…...

Superman Vs The Hulk

One of the most popular crossover battles is with Superman and The Hulk. It’s common that this fight is based solely on favoritism instead of the physical facts which determines the winner. Primarily, both character could be evenly matched when it comes to strength, durability and longevity to a certain degree. Both characters have evolved in power since their origins but who is really the strongest?

Superman has greater speed than The Hulk, along with his additional powers of flight, heat vision and super breath. These powers are manifested by Superman’s cells absorbing yellow sunlight. If Superman were to take this battle into the air or space, the battle would be in favor to Superman. The Hulk’s momentum can only produce results if he is grounded. Superman is vulnerable to kryptonite and magic but in this fight, neither would be available at The Hulk’s disposal.

The Hulk’s strength is produced through his uncontrollable rage, which is due to Bruce Banner exposure to gamma radiation. The more he gets angry the stronger he becomes. Despite not being able to fly, have x-ray or heat vision, the Hulk’s adaptable durability allows him to withstand these powers that Superman may use against him. Superman’s super speed and strength combined would throw Hulk in a blind rage, for fighting a strong and quicker opponent would frustrate and anger him. The Hulk is most vulnerable when he is in the state of Bruce Banner, where Superman and Clark Kent is one in the same….

Over the years, both characters have evolved to different levels of power which respectfully makes both characters the top of their class in the Marvel and DC Universe. When heroes battle each other, it’s a test of strength and honor not winner or loser in most cases. Since this crossover battle is so popular among comic fans, how come Marvel and DC haven’t created a film adaptation of the comic? Until that time and thanks to Michael Habjan, comic fans can get an excellent perspective of how such a battle could happen….

Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Superman vs Hulk goes to the DeviantArt artist fkaleo. Excellent piece of work! Definitely a classic crossover battle!

Ghost Rider

Because of Ghost Rider‘s dark means of justice, he is classified as an anti-hero. Ghost Rider is an anti-hero that was created by dark supernatural forces like Spawn, service to the devil in exchange for one’s soul. Ghost Rider was an agent of evil but later broke free of his hellish servitude. The Ghost Rider uses his dark powers to battle evil and protect the innocent, thus becoming a soul punisher.

Ghost Rider’s supernatural force is among the most powerful in the Marvel Universe. Ghost Rider is karma in physical form. With his dark powers, the Ghost Rider uses the Penance Stare, which burns through his victim’s soul. This power is used to inflict pain on victims, making them feel the pain they have inflicted on others a hundred-fold. On top of that, Ghost Rider’s physical strength is enough to battle a raging Hulk.

Ghost Rider has come to the big screen with the 2007 film Ghost Rider and second film Spirit of Vengeance. Excellent imagery on both movies, but which one was better to you? Do you think Nicholas Cage was an excellent choice to become Johnny Blaze? Since Ghost Rider is a dark character, do you agree that these films should’ve pushed for an R rating?

Ghost Rider and Spawn has many similarities to their origins of power. This brought interest among comic fans on which one would win in battle against each other. Which character do you stand with in this battle? To be continued…

Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Ghost Rider goes to the deviantArt artist, codename: TovMauzer. Excellent Work!
