Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Movie Review!!!!

Marvel Comics received another win with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever! To date this film generated $859.1 million dollars from a budget of $250 million. Ryan Coogler didn’t recast the Black Panther, so this movie was based around Wakanda’s survival after the death of the King from an unspecified illness. In reality, Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer during his first appearance as Black Panther and began undergoing its effects throughout all movie appearances of the character up to Endgame.

The villain chosen for this movie was Namor The Sub Mariner. Namor as we know is very similar to AquaMan in the DC Universe. Both are half Atlantean, with the ability to survive the depths of the oceans and communicate with marine animals. Their primary differences lie within their human parents and the Tridents they wield. Namor’s father has the dormant X gene which creates Namor as half homo superior, explaining his winged feet and ability to fly. Flight is what would give Namor an advantage over AquaMan in battle, but it’s AquaMan Trident of Poseidon and the ability to tap into the Life Force of the oceans that may give AquaMan the win in this matchup. Who is your favorite underwater King between the two?

Namor is introduced cinematically different from the comic origins. Wakanda believed that Vibranium only landed in their country, now to find out the precious metal has also landed in the ocean near the MesoAmerican Region. Over time the meteorite’s radiation gave nourishment to underwater plants, which were consumed by the last Mayan tribe in that area. Namor’s mother was pregnant when she ingested it, causing Namor’s mutation of winged ankles and flight. As for the tribespeople, out of water their pigmentation turns blue from lack of oxygen where when immersed in water, the saturation returns to normal human coloration. Namor and his people have the ability of hypnosis, very similar to mermaids and sirens, sending anyone within earshot to a watery grave. Instead of wielding the magical Trident of Neptune, Namor wields a spear made of pure Vibranium. Without the magical powers of a Trident, do you think this version of Namor can take on Jason Momoa’s AquaMan? Did the director want Namor changed to give the minorities of our society a representation cinematically or was Africans, Latins and Hispanics cultures being displayed as one in the same since Pangaea? This concept was also presented in AVP when explaining cultures with pyramid structures.

Shuri becomes the Black Panther as she does in the comics. Since she failed save her brother’s life and the world’s continual efforts to invade Wakanda for Vibranium, Shuri’s feelings towards society turns negative. After interacting and learning the creation of Talokan, Shuri was able to create a new crop of the heart shaped herb since its destruction by Killmonger’s order. This new herb grants the user a greater healing factor similar to Wolverine’s. This was witnessed from the invulnerable warriors of Talokan and Shuri surviving a stab wound to the midsection, same trauma that took Killmonger’s life. It’s unclear if the herb allows underwater breathing, but if this herb was discovered earlier, T’Challa and Killmonger would have survived their afflictions. Even though Shuri was coaxed into a negative mindset, fueled even more so by the death of the Queen, Shuri used the wisdom of the Black Panther legacy to join the two Vibranium richen nations together as partners…or it seems. Namora was introduced in this film as well and she appears unpleased with Namor’s decision for unity. Do you think this is the beginning of a division within the Talokan nation?

How did you like this film?! What do you think of the changes made to character of Namor? Leave your comments below and check out SideShow Collectibles for Wakanda Forever!

Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix is among the most dangerous female villains in the comic book universe. Dark Phoenix is the evil embodiment of Phoenix Force, with Jean Grey as it’s host. Dark Phoenix wanted to separate everything connecting Jean Grey to her former life so destroying the cosmos would come as first choice. Trying to stop or even battling the Dark Phoenix would be considered suicide for whoever took on the feat. Attacking the mind of the host is the best chance in stopping such a force, as done by Professor X.The Phoenix Force is similar to DC Comic’s entity: The Parallax. When Hal Jordan became the host, he displayed much of his dark side as Jean did under such power. Cosmic entities merging directly to a humanoid host, amplifies the powers of the host at immeasurable levels, making them god like. The Phoenix Entity was even split apart to inhabit different hosts at once, creating the Phoenix Five. Do you think this Force could take on any of the Lantern Corps??Dark Phoenix made it to the silver screen with the X-Men 3 The Last Stand and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The Dark Phoenix is portrayed by Famke Janssen, who played Jean Grey throughout the X-Men movie series. What is your take on the image of Dark Phoenix? She didn’t seem like the out-of-control Dark Phoenix who reign destruction in the cosmos but more like a darker Jean Grey. Was that the best performance of Dark Phoenix or could movie producers have done more to show the power of such a dark entity…Is it possible that Dark Phoenix can be recruited into the Red Lantern Corps?! What would become of Jean Grey if she harbors the Phoenix Force, then wield the Red Power Ring?! To Be Continued….

Enterprise Space Armor

What if… Tony Stark’s technology crossed into the Star Trek Universe?! The advanced technology of Star Trek would be wonders for Tony Stark. He could develop his armors even further equipping them with stellar navigation or even combine Star Fleet’s warp core technology with his arc reactor tech. With this, the Stark armor could survive deep space and even achieve warp speeds. This would allow Iron Man to travel alongside the likes of Silver Surfer or Green Lantern with ease.Tony Stark could supply the Federation with the blueprint plans for advanced armored suits. The Federation could use Tony’s armors for planetary exploration or a non-detectable advantage over enemies in war. Would you agree that if such armored suits were created for the Federation, the space jump in the 2009– and 2013-Star Trek films be much cooler? Let’s imagine…

Not only could Tony Stark use the Star Fleet’s technology for his armored suits, but he could also enhance S.H.I.E.L.D. For example, The Helicarrier  could be equipped much like the USS Enterprise. The Helicarrier could run on anti-matter propulsion engines, equipped with transporters on board, deflector shields and advanced weaponry. Both universes could benefit each other greatly with Tony Stark’s brilliance. Could you imagine such technology crossed over between the two universes, how they can go hand in hand with one another?

Galactus

Galactus is classified villain in the Marvel Universe. This is because countless planets were destroyed during consumption while Galactus replenished his energy. Consuming planets for energy is considered natural for Galactus, but in the eyes of some heroes such as the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer, this is perceived an act of genocide. As Galactus consumes these countless worlds, intelligent life perishes in the process. Are we as humans villains to planet Earth? We create and consume genetically modified plants and animals for food and clothing. We deplete resources and create global warming, all in efforts to find efficient ways of energy to sustain the population. Are we harming our planet more than helping it?Galactus and his Heralds are similar to Apocalyspe and his Horsemen. Galactus creates Heralds to find worlds suitable for consumption. Apocalypse uses his horsemen to help conquer Earth and transform the population into mutants. Both Galactus and Apocalypse has made changes within their guardsmen. This is either because his subjects sided with heroes against their creator, or they were destroyed in battle. Galactus visions of dominance are on a universal scale while Apocalypse primarily sets his sights on Earth. From the comic book, Galactus appeared in television shows and video games. The idea of Galactus has reached the movie screen but why so vague? The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer film featured the idea of Galactus but not much of an image fans recognize. Could the movie have been better if an image of Galactus in Ultimate Alliance was used? Will Galactus be a part of the upcoming Infinity War movies like his involvement in the comic book?Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Galactus goes to deviantArt artist, codename: Baldasseroni. Excellent work!

Emma Frost

Emma Frost is one of many mutants who has used their powers for personal gain in the world.  Emma Frost used her powers to make herself wealthy and successful in every area she found interest. Now just think, how many people in the world would do the same as Emma Frost? What would you do? Her beauty and abilities attracted the attention of the X-Men and the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. Emma was invited to the X-Men to help understand her power and to protect humans and mutants as a hero. As a member of the Inner Circle, Emma’s powers are utilized as instruments to influence the higher society that controls the world. This is the reason why there is debate that Emma is a hero or villain.

Emma Frost underwent a second mutation, her diamond form. In this form, Emma can only be destroyed with a diamond bullet. When not in diamond form, Emma is a powerful telepath on par with Xavier and Jean Grey. Emma and Jean Grey have tension with each other because both are Omega Level telepaths that fell in love with Cyclops. Not only that both females became worthy hosts to the Phoenix Force.

Emma Frost has come to the movie screen in the movies X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men First Class. Even though her abilities and powers were displayed with unique style and imagery, her timeline was far off. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Emma was a young teenager escaping Stryker’s island with an older Professor Xavier (not to mention Xavier is not disabled). In The First Class, Emma was an older woman, battling younger Charles Xavier and younger Eric Lehnsherr. Did movie producers not realize the mistake in Emma Frost movie timeline?

The Flash Trailer Review!

Trailers for The Flash has finally dropped, making this the fourth member from the SynderVerse Justice League to have a solo film! There were doubts to if this film would be released following the fall of DC’s Cinematic Universe and the controversy surrounding Ezra Miller. Nevertheless, the cinematography looks amazing, not to mention the return of Michael Keaton as Batman and the introduction of SuperGirl. The feel of this trailer gives the impression that its storyline direction is similar to SpiderMan: No Way Home. If this is the case, will there be a third Batman to appear in this film?! If so which Batman, could it be? Is it possible that Henry Cavill will become Superman once more like he did in Black Adam?!! How will this movie recreate the DC Cinematic Universe as stated by James Gunn? Stay tuned for the release of The Flash on June 16th!

Venom Movie Review!!!

Venom 2018 has exceeded expectations bringing in over $856.1 million dollars to date! Many popular movie critics gave Venom negative reviews, mainly because origins of the character was altered for cinematic display. Despite the alterations, Venom is an action-packed film and Tom Hardy‘s performance as Eddie Brock was nothing less than perfect. Let’s break down the different aspects of this film that stood out to comic fans the most and what could happen for this film in the future…

According to the comic blueprint when the Venom symbiote arrived on Earth, Spiderman was its first host. What the symbiote fed on the most with Peter was the special abilities he gained from the radioactive spider. The Venom symbiote retained Spiderman’s abilities and costume design by the time it attached to Eddie Brock. The Venom symbiote incorporated Brock’s deep negative feelings toward Spiderman making them it’s own. Brock had a obsession to take down Spiderman, for he blamed Spiderman for the lost of his job and the end of his relationship with his girlfriend. In turn, Spiderman and Venom are always at odds, even though in rare occasions they would join forces. In the movie release of Venom, Eddie lost his job and girlfriend by overstepping boundaries when interviewing the Life Foundation CEO Carlton Drake. Eddie was determined that Drake was guilty of his accusations of human experimentation and was willing to do what it took to prove his story. This film featured other symbiotes such as Riot, who’s mission was to bring more of its species to Earth. Is it possible the symbiotes were fleeing their planet because it was near destruction by Galactus like in the comics? With eliminating Spiderman from the film origins of Venom, do you think that ruined Venom’s chances to encounter the wall crawler in future films? Would this version of Venom been a great new villain for The Amazing Spiderman film series or was this standalone film a good move for Sony?

Venom was featured as the main villain in Spiderman 3. This storyline of Venom was slightly changed as well. The Venom symbiote arrived on Earth through a small meteor and not from the shuttle return as shown in the comics and Venom 2018. In the comic story, the symbiote attached to Peter Parker becoming the black suit Spiderman. Peter discovered the suit enhanced his abilities and even began to turn his personality into a darker side. This began to jeopardize his relationships at work and with Mary Jane so Peter expelled the symbiote, thus making Eddie the new host. Once Eddie gained the symbiote, it became a creature not seen with Spiderman. The Venom symbiote was short lived in Spiderman 3, as it was disintegrated along with Eddie Brock. What threw the appearance off with Venom was that his size was comparable Spiderman, not making him much of a threaten menace. In Venom 2018, Venom was almost triple the size of Brock, easily towering over most humans. Since Eddie encounter the symbiote first, Venom was without his famous white spider across his torso and back. Venom was unable to cling to walls like Spiderman or create webbing, so the unique powers of the symbiote made up for the missing elements. Venom was seemingly destroyed like in the Spiderman 3 film, but returned to Eddie to help combat crime in his town. Another notable difference between the two cinematic Venoms was that the new version has a personality of its own while the other was a mindless creature under control of Eddie.

At the end of film, Eddie arrives at a prison facility to interview Cletus Kasady, an infamous serial killer who is portrayed by Woody Harrelson. Cletus lets Eddie know that when he gets out of prison there will be carnage. This hints that the murderous Carnage will be the next villain that Venom must face. What if Venom’s apparent destruction is what forces the symbiotes’ pregnancy in hopes to survive extinction? What if in this Venom story, Carnage and Venoms indifference stems from the passed down knowledge of Riot’s death and the disruption of the mission to invade Earth with symbiotes? What were your thoughts on 2018 film for Venom? Should producers continue with this storyline or will this movie become short lived?

Deadpool 2 Movie Review!!!

Deadpool is back again! The first film’s huge success quickly ushered the second feature, which grossed $785 million to date. The cinematic version of Deadpool is displayed as a spoof movie or a parody to the Marvel films and is closely related to the X-Men franchise. Deadpool still struggles to fight justice in a civil fashion like most heroes. His humorous punch lines and graphic action sequences help draw in big audiences for an R-rated Marvel Film since the Blade movies and Logan.

What was your take on Josh Brolin playing Cable? Cable coming to the big screen is a great look for the X-Men series, but there were some powers and abilities about Cable that were not explored, which could have made this character just as good as the portrayal of Thanos. For instance, like his mother Jean Grey, Cable is an Omega Level mutant with the power of telepathy and telekinesis. His telekinetic powers seem more remotely used by his cybernetic eye, which in the comics was more used to detect psionic energy. With the heavy use of telekinesis and telepathy in this film, Cable would be mistaken for a Force User! Also, Cable is able to call force fields and make use of his time traveling device, but we missed the use of his teleportation mechanism. In the comics, Deadpool makes use of the teleportation gadget where in the movie he uses the time device as his own. This is just one of many things that confused the depiction of Deadpool on-screen. It could also be the reason in the ending credits, Deadpool enters X-Men Origins: Wolverine and kills that version of Deadpool. In DP2, Cable’s mission is to destroy the mutant Firefist before he kills Cable’s family in the future.

In Marvel Comics, X-Force is a team that was created by Cable in efforts to take down mutant terrorists around the world. In Deadpool 2, Wade was responsible for creating X-Force in hopes of saving Firefist from prison and Cable. Much of Deadpool’s recruits didn’t survive and what was left of X-Force eventually consisted of Cable, Deadpool, and Domino. Her feature on this film was excellent and the display of her mutant powers as a luck charm was interesting to see. Question is, if Domino can dominate luck into her favor, wouldn’t she be more deadly than Deadpool and Cable? Wouldn’t she also a difficult target to eliminate?

Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio return to aid Wade in his action-packed adventures. A version of Yukio is featured in The Wolverine, which was a character that was heavily mentioned in both films. Yukio in The Wolverine was able to sense impending death on an individual and in DP2 she can wield electricity. Even though Hugh Jackman states that he’s done playing Wolverine, wouldn’t it be cool for him to play the role once more for either possibly the next Deadpool or an Avengers feature? There were other X-Men cameos in this film such as Beast, Cyclops, Quicksilver and Professor Xavier. All characters we’ve seen in the other X-Men movies, Negasonic Teenage Warhead would be a new addition, but why was Colossus created different from his earlier version in X2 and Days of Future Past? Why was this Colossus always in his organic steel form where in the other films, the character was in his relaxed human form, especially in the X-Mansion where no danger was present?

What is your take on the film? Do you think it measures up to the first film or it was completely better? It’s not confirmed whether or not a 3rd film will be made, or X-Force will be the next installment to the X-Men franchise. If Wade returns, who do you think should be in it?

Iron Man

Iron Man is one of many popular characters within the Marvel Universe. As Tony Stark, he is CEO of Stark Industries. This aids Tony’s crime fighting persona with advanced technology and weaponry. Tony has created suits of armor able to adapt to harsh environments such as space and deep-sea. Tony has even created armors strong enough to battle The Hulk and Thor. With his technological and intellectual dominance, Iron Man is second in command within the Avengers.

Tony Stark manages to maintain control over his creations to prevent any war and political conflicts. On the other hand, the armor would be of good uses as well. NASA for instance, could use the armors to replace the space suit. Modern day space suits impede the progress of astronauts to certain degrees. For example, lack of head and body mobility along with limited life support and jet pack fuel.

Iron Man is special to Comic Multiverse because of its crossover with Green Lantern in the amalgam universe: Iron Lantern. What are your thoughts on this crossover story? Do you think Tony’s technology could benefit perfectly in another universe like Star TrekWhat type of impact would the armors have on Starfleet? Or what future would S.H.I.E.L.D have with Star Fleet’s technology? To be continued……

Iron Man has made its début from comic book to movie screen like many other films, giving fans an excellent insight on its evolution in imagery. The Iron Man movies are a big success in the Marvel Universe, with Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Robert and Huge Jackman are two actors that has continuously played their characters throughout the years since their first films. Do you think all actors should do the same, or do you believe change is sometimes a good thing in character development, as it’s done in the comics?

Many comic fans have debated on who is the best hero between Iron Man and Batman. Both characters have many similarities and differences that could weight in the true victor. Who do you think would win in that match up?  To be Continued…

Thanos

Thanos is one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe. He is a villain whose physiology brings him to near immortality, able to battle with minimal injury and survive most fatal circumstances. To some degree, Thanos can wield cosmic energy. His near godlike abilities create the desire in him to increase his stature in the universe, no matter the cost.

Thanos decides to eliminate half of the universe to impress Mistress Death and win her love. He believed since his soul was of dark nature, he could impress such a powerful entity. When that became a failure over repeated attempts, he was banned from ever entering the realms of the dead. Despite Thanos failure flaw, he is the first villain to conquer the entire universe. Like most villains, his selfish ambition is his greatest downfall, as displayed in the Infinity Gauntlet series. All those who have great power fear to lose it, this fear is what defeats Thanos every time.

Thanos has made appearances on television with 1997 Silver Surfer and 2009 The Super Hero Squad Show. What excites fans is Thanos cameo at the end of The Avengers film and Guardians of the Galaxy. The Avenger movies are leading to the ultimate battle for the Infinity Gems. Do you think Marvel Studios will stick close to the comic book? If so, how will Adam Warlock, Mistress Death and Mephisto be introduced into the movie plot? How do you like the visual concept of Thanos in live movie?

Comic fans have speculated on would who be the universe most dangerous conqueror between Apocalypse, Darkseid and Thanos. Who do you think is the most dangerous of the three? To be Continued…
