Black Panther Movie Review!!!

Black Panther is one of Marvel Comics most anticipated films of 2018. It presold more tickets than any Marvel film, thus placing the movie as the third highest to sell over a weekend. To date, Black Panther has sold $727.9 million dollars worldwide! Captain America: Civil War was the film that ushered the Panther to Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Nation of Wakanda was mentioned, as a country rich with Vibranium. Black Panther is a film with great action sequences, excellent African wardrobes, culture and an amazing cast.

Black Panther takes place a week after T’Challa turns Helmut Zemo in for his crimes and for the death of his father T’Chaka. T’Challa returns home to Wakanda to assume the role of King. During this time, Captain America and Bucky are fugitives kept in secret in Wakanda. Wakanda is guarded by a force field which hides the city in plain sight, just like Themyscira in the 2017 Wonder Woman. Wakanda is the only technologically advanced city on Earth. Under the city lies the rich Vibranium mine and the gardens of herbs which is used to give Wakandan kings their powers.

The Vibranium Panther suit was one of greatest features of the movie. The upgraded armor can materialize over the wearer from a special necklace. The user can then mentally command any part of the suit as needed. The vibranium in the suit stores incoming kinetic energy which then can be dispersed out like an explosive wave. This explosion can be used to hurl enemies, destroy vehicles or help catapult the wearer wherever needed. Its major weakness is sonic waves, very similar to the symbiotes of the Venom family. Which character do you think would use Vibranium in their tech more efficiently between Batman and Iron Man?

This film came with not one villain but three. Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan was the major villain followed by the return of Klaue and the Man-Ape M‘Baku. Killmonger turned out to become a favorite villain in cinema because of his connection with the black audience. His goal was to help those of African descent around the world to fight against their oppressors with the advanced technology of Wakanda. When he became King for a brief period, he dawned himself as the Golden Jaguar instead of a Black Panther. He felt that all Africans should share in the wealth of Wakanda instead of just those who reside there. Klaue was last seen retreating for his life after Ultron cuts of his arm in Avengers: Age of Ultron. His arm has since been replaced with a sonic blaster, which has the same destructive power as the Panther suit. Klaue is eventually killed by Killmonger, who uses Klaue’s dead corpse as a pass into Wakanda. M’Baku turned out to be much different on screen than how he portrayed in the comics. Instead of being Wakanda’s major villain, M’Baku turned out to be the savior of T’Challa and even helped him reclaim his throne from Killmonger…

Next film slated for the Black Panther is Avengers: Infinity War. From the preview we can see Wakanda is invaded by, what looks like beings from another world. Some of the Avengers are helping the Black Panther defend his hidden nation. What is the Black Panther’s role in the upcoming Infinity War? Will the Black Panther have a second solo film? Now that Disney has acquired the Marvel Characters from Fox Studios, will we see Storm in future Black Panther films as the Queen of Wakanda? Enterprise Space Armor

What if… Tony Stark’s technology crossed into the Star Trek Universe?! The advanced technology of Star Trek would be wonders for Tony Stark. He could develop his armors even further equipping them with stellar navigation or even combine Star Fleet’s warp core technology with his arc reactor tech. With this, the Stark armor could survive deep space and even achieve warp speeds. This would allow Iron Man to travel alongside the likes of Silver Surfer or Green Lantern with ease.Tony Stark could supply the Federation with the blueprint plans for advanced armored suits. The Federation could use Tony’s armors for planetary exploration or a non-detectable advantage over enemies in war. Would you agree that if such armored suits were created for the Federation, the space jump in the 2009– and 2013-Star Trek films be much cooler? Let’s imagine…

Not only could Tony Stark use the Star Fleet’s technology for his armored suits, but he could also enhance S.H.I.E.L.D. For example, The Helicarrier  could be equipped much like the USS Enterprise. The Helicarrier could run on anti-matter propulsion engines, equipped with transporters on board, deflector shields and advanced weaponry. Both universes could benefit each other greatly with Tony Stark’s brilliance. Could you imagine such technology crossed over between the two universes, how they can go hand in hand with one another?

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is among the strongest heroines in the DC Universe. Diana’s powers are granted to her from the Gods of Olympus, thus becoming a form of demigod. Wonder Woman is very similar to Thor, for the reason both characters stem from mythology. They use their godly powers to help humanity as heroes of a super team. Who do you think is more powerful between Thor and Wonder Woman?Wonder Woman’s home of Themyscira is dominated by only women. This could be the major reason why Wonder Woman doesn’t have solid intimate relationships with men, like Superman and Batman. Wonder Woman finds Superman to be a match for her based on his leadership and the superhuman abilities that are similar to her own. Diana is bred to be an elite warrior of Amazon, her involvement in World Wars gives her a strong sense of field experience when entering battle with the Justice League. This experience outclasses Superman, for he must train his special powers to help benefit his role as a hero…Wonder Women finds interest in a lone warrior like Batman, because of his dark, mysterious and strategic ways as a hero. Not only that, Wonder Woman would give a mortal man much respect for his battle prowess against foes 10 times stronger than himself, without the use of any superpowers. A man putting his life on the line against the odds probably reminds Diana of Steve Trevor in some ways. This also builds enormous amounts of love and compassion in her heart for mortals. This type of love is more than enough to have the Star Sapphire Ring summoned to her every call.Wonder Woman made her way from the comic book to various DC anime and cartoon series, up to the big screen, with Gal Gadot as the actress. Her first appearance was in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, followed by her solo film of 2017, the Justice League film, Wonder Woman 1984 and then The Flash.  What was your take on Gal playing Wonder Woman? The Incredible Hulk

 Bruce Banner became a green behemoth with incredible power after being exposed by gamma radiation. Like most superheroes, The Hulk is one of the most wanted targets to the US Army. The Hulk’s strength is limitless because he becomes stronger with the level of his rage. Super teams such as The Avengers have a hard time stopping The Hulk head on.

In the World War Hulk storyline, the Hulk was exiled from Earth, only to return much stronger than before with revenge on his mind.  Despite being viewed as a raging monster, Hulk has also been a part of Marvel’s greatest heroes to battle Thanos in The Infinity Gauntlet.

Wolverine and Thor are among many who has battled the Hulk in the comics. These battles later evolved to the animated film Hulk Vs. In the Old Man Logan comic book series, The Hulk finally met his end to Wolverine. The Hulk is a favorite topic of discussion, especially when it comes down to crossover battles such as Hulk vs Superman or Hulk in the Red Lantern Corps. Very popular topics of discussion only to leave comic fans to think what if. Can the Incredible Hulk be matched against any villain or hero with super strength in the comic universe??

The Hulk has his two major films, the 2003 The Hulk and the reboot version 2008 The Incredible Hulk. Bruce Banner was portrayed by Eric Bana in the 2003 film. In 2008 the Hulk was then rebooted with the help of Edward Norton. Now a new variation of the Hulk came in the 2012 , 2015 , and 2018 with Mark Ruffalo. Which Hulk did you think was the best on the big screen?

Spawn vs Ghost Rider

Spawn and Ghost Rider is among many popular crossover topics within the comic community, mainly because of their similarities. Both characters wield supernatural powers originating from Hell through a pact with the Devil(Mephisto/ Malebolgia). Later through trial and error of their ways, both characters broke free from their hellish influence and used Hell’s power to free their own souls. They have major differences that determine the outcome of such a battle. Let’s dig in…

Al Simmons was recruited to become the general of Hell’s Army. As general, his power would come second to his master Malebolgia. Spawn’s supernatural powers stem from his symbiotic armor. The armor is a living organism which is infused in Al Simmons’s nervous system, allowing him to control the symbiotic armor with his thoughts, conscious or unconscious. The armor is filled with necroplasm, which has a functioning concept like Green Power Ring. The armor responds and morphs to the will and imagination of Al Simmons. On Earth, Spawn’s magical powers are in limited supply, so his symbiotic armor feeds off evil or dark energy. The bigger the source, the more power it can consume and use without depleting its own power reserves. Battling Ghost Rider would be perfect for Spawn because Ghost Rider’s powers and abilities are supernatural and evil in origin. This battle would keep Spawn fully powered enough to use his magical abilities at maximum potential.

Johnny Blaze was destined to become agent of evil as the Ghost Rider. The Rider’s existence becomes possible from the union between Johnny Blaze and Zarathos. Zarathos is a demonic being in servitude to Mephisto as Violator is with Malebogia. This union is also similar to the Phoenix Force bonding with Jean Grey thus creating Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. Johnny Blaze can revert back and forth as the Ghost Rider at will, when before, was in the presence of evil. With demonic power at his disposal, Ghost Rider can control the mystical fire of Hell, which he channels through weapons or vehicles, making them supernaturally more powerful than before. Seemingly with no limit to his power, Ghost Rider is considered one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.

Ultimately this battle comes down to the men who are hosts to the power, Al Simmons and Johnny Blaze. Al Simmons’s training and service to his country made him an excellent assassin. Johnny Blaze is a stunt performer, where his mental focus is on surviving death-defying feats than any physical combat training. Spawn has evolved to his higher form, Omega Spawn. This results in unlimited power on both the mortal and immortal planes, making himself third in power next to the power of Heaven and Hell. Ghost Rider is considered one of most powerful in his universe, but his god like potential is not fully realize because of the combat mentality of his mortal host. Would Ghost Rider stand a better chance against Omega Spawn when united with the Venom symbiote and the Red Hulk, or will he fall just as hard under the might of Omega Spawn??

Morbius Movie Review!!!

Morbius is introduced to the cinematic universe through Sony Pictures, with a lot of negative reviews from movie critics. Morbius initial appearance was in the first Blade film before the credits, which didn’t make the theatrical cut. Because of the Covid Pandemic, this film suffered a delay on its release date, originally slated for July of 2020. With the time given by Covid, wouldn’t it been possible to make corrections to this film making it among the top rank vampire films? Despite the setback and many unfavorable reviews, Morbius generated 167.5 million from an $83 million dollar budget.

What did capture the audience’s attention for the most part was the visual effects. The display of superpowers Michael used as the living vampire was incredible, very reminiscent of Dracula Untold. With this display of vampiric power, it’d be cool to see Bruce Wayne take the serum for himself, especially in the Christopher Nolan series or even when battling Superman and Doomsday in Batman V Superman. Do you think this cinematic version of Morbius can take on Marcus Corvinus in a fight?

Do you think Morbius should have been introduced through Spiderman like in the comics? If so, this would have been an excellent third story for Spiderman portrayed by Andrew Garfield. In the ending credits of this 2021 feature, Morbius comes face to face with the Vulture presumably making a deal to work together. This is blending Sony and Disney’s interpretation of Marvel characters. We see this same instance in the ending of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, where Venom and Eddie Brock is transported into the MCU. Were these attempts to correct the cinematic background stories of Venom and Morbius, knowing that these characters didn’t exist without the story of Spiderman? Terminators

Technology is an important asset to our world and has become an ever-evolving science to improve our way of life. Artificial intelligence is among the sci-fi thrillers because of the possibility of computer systems evolving to self-awareness and destroy humanity. In cinema, Skynet gained awareness and used Earth’s defense systems to wipe out the human population. Assassin cyborgs called Terminators were created to eliminate the surviving humans who would begin building a Resistance against the system and possibly destroy it.

In the first film, The T-800 Terminators are concealed in human tissue to effectively infiltrate many Resistance bases. The cyborgs are equipped with learning CPUs which allow the cyborg to adapt quickly within human society. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the leading actor in the movie series as the killer cyborg. Skynet sent the Terminator back to the past to eliminate Sarah Conner, who would give birth to her son John, the leader of the Resistance in the future. In films 2 and 3, Arnold’s role as the T-800 was reprogrammed to protect John Conner against potential threats that would jeopardize his future leadership.

The T-1000 is introduced in the second film, with an appearance similar to the Silver Surfer and the ability to shapeshift to mimic humans or objects. Severe cold and heat is the weakness of the T-1000 because of its liquid base instead of having a robotic endoskeleton. It’s mission was to eliminate John Conner and succeed where the T-800 failed with Sarah 10 years prior.

Terminator 3 introduced the T-X cyborg. This Terminator is created with an advanced robotic endoskeleton which allows the android to reconfigure its arms into weapons like plasma cannons. Its outer layer is liquid metal like the T-1000, allowing it to impersonate any human on Earth. The mission of the T-X is to eliminate the future lieutenants of the Resistance along with John Conner. Skynet figured that taking out the future leaders would leave John alone to fight against machines, in the event he escapes his termination again.

Terminator: Genisys gave a different perspective on the storyline, seemingly because of Skynet’s continual failure in eliminating John Conner. In this storyline, Skynet ambushes Conner in the future, transforming him into the Model T-3000. Its nanotechnology infects, then transforms humans into nanomachines as well, all to serve Skynet. What if Ultron had Tony’s nanotechnology to create himself an advanced body? How powerful do you think Ultron could be or would he share the same weakness as the T-3000?

Terminator: Dark Fate is another film that has an altered viewpoint to the storyline, making it another possible sequel to Judgement Day. In this film, John and Sarah Conner relocated to Central America in hopes of living a life outside of being United States most wanted. Three years earlier, Skynet sent another T-800 to kill John, but because of John’s constant movements with Sarah and the reprogrammed T-800, the Terminator had trouble keeping up to its target. John’s death was a success this time because Sarah and his defenses were lowered, believing that no Terminators could exist again in their time and that this T-800 being identical to the one John bonded to. After John’s death, the cyborg was stranded without a mission objective or ever reaching the future where Skynet would exist. Because of this, the T-800 chose to live among the humans peacefully. Skynet was not the beginning or end to artificial intelligence though. This film presented a new threat called Legion. This advanced system created terminators known as Rev-9s, which is similar but different to the T-X model. Its exterior is black liquid metal, and its interior is an advanced endoskeleton. The Rev-9’s exterior can separate from the endoskeleton and operate independently as two entities.

Grace and Marcus were once humans who became enhanced cybernetically. Marcus was transformed into a cyborg by Cyberdyne Industries, becoming like the T-800 model for the exception of his heart and brain still being intacted. Because of his unique design, Marcus is similar to Cyborg in the Justice League, with the exception of flight. Grace has cybernetics graphed around her bones, eyes and underlay of skin. Her design is similar to Brixton Lore of Fast and the Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw, where most of her body is still organic. What kept these characters on the side of good was the vital organs that retained their human emotion.

Technology in our world is evolving each year, in cyberspace and machines. Is it possible that the manipulation of science and technology could have negative results that threatens mankind? Could humans push too far and accidentally create a computer system that could become self-aware and hostile?

Power Rangers Trailer Review!!!

The Power Rangers will be back on the movie screen Friday March 24th. This film is one of the most anticipated films of 2017 because of its popularity since the early 90’s and fans can see the Rangers in a new visual way never seen yet. This film is a reboot of the original television series with many changes that can be hinted from the trailer. What characters from the TV series do you believe may make a special appearance? Do you think these Rangers will have huge success in the box office granting future films?…

Superman

Superman, known as the Man of Steel, is a cultural icon in America and one of the most famous and powerful superheroes in comic book history. Superman’s power has evolved over the years, when moving from writer to writer. Each creator had the wish to increase the abilities of the character from worldly to universal levels. Superman seems invincible, except to characters such as Batman and Lex Luthor, who has knowledge of Superman’s weaknesses. Along with the power changes, Superman has gone through costume variations as well…. What do you think about the latest Superman costume? Is the Kryptonian biotech armor the best look for Superman? Or can we say more convenient? With this bio tech armor, it would make more sense on how Clark Kent could change into his costume at a quick rate, instead of the old school phone booth technique…….

Many fans grew up believing the emblem on Superman’s costume stood for his name but in fact it stands for hope in the House of El. This being the case, do you believe it to be more suitable for Superman to become a Blue Lantern Corps officer? Could Superman become the greatest if recruited? How would the battle turn out if Superman and Thor both wielded the power of hope? Dedicated to fighting crime, Superman is leader of the super team the Justice League. This team established to protect the people of Earth from all threats foreign and domestic. Superman feels he has a better place in the world when joined with other heroes that have special abilities like himself. Superman highly respects his second in command for his courage and intellect, which Batman uses in place of having no superpowers.

Superman has evolved from the comic books to many television series and movies. Many fans feel that no actor can compare to the first Superman: Christopher Reeve. Brandon Routh was next up to put on the red cape in Superman Returns. With the director Bryan Singer, the film felt more of a Marvel creation than that of DC. This is mainly because of his famous works with Marvel like the X-Men franchise. Now that Superman has been rebooted into the Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, will Henry Cavill become Christopher’s new successor, or will he also fail in comparison? With the advancement in computer graphics since the first films, and Zack Snyder as his new creator, it’s a good possibility. 

With Superman’s powers expanding throughout the years, this creates match ups against other characters within and of other universes. Comic Multiverse will feature its addition of Superman VS, covering some of these battles in-depth, in result, to end speculation and debate. The most popular battles with Superman are: Superman Vs Batman, Superman Vs Goku, Superman Vs Hulk, Superman Vs Thor. Is Superman the greatest comic book superhero?

Batman

Batman, also known as The Dark Knight, is a crime fighter of Gotham City. Despite being known as a hero, Batman is viewed as a vigilante and even a criminal in the eyes of law enforcement. Batman public persona Bruce Wayne is a multi-billionaire and polymath. Using his resources, Bruce Wayne can successfully manage being a crime fighter with use of special made gadgets, vehicles and costumes, much like Iron Man.Batman is one of many heroes with no superpowers. But what if he did? What if Batman was a daywalker vampire like Blade or has vampiric powers that manifest at night like Nina Price? This would make sense for Batman to have these supernatural powers since he battled Dracula himself. Having these supernatural powers could magnify the fearful image of Batman a thousand-fold. Would comics fans accept a new and improved Batman? Just imagine the Dark Knight with powers of Dracula, as shown in the film Dracula Untold. Do you think Batman could take on Superman more effectively this way?

Being a strong-willed and fearless warrior is what makes Batman one of the greatest heroes to enter in the world of crime fighting. Dedicating his life to fight injustice, Batman uses his resources to help form and support the Justice League. As second in command, Batman is in charge of global surveillance and communications. Batman is the third most important member of the Justice League next to Superman and Wonder Woman. Batman has become a master of his mind, body and emotions. Having considerable willpower and using fear against injustice, Batman is an excellent candidate for both the Green Lantern Corps and Sinestro Corps. Even though Batman was believed to have perished by Darkseid , the false Batman was recruited to the Black Lantern Corps. Later revealed to be among the living, the real Batman was recruited to the The White Lantern Corps. Which Lantern Corps do you think best suits Batman?

The greatest asset that Batman has is his mind. Because of his development over the years, comic fans would believe that Batman could pretty much beat all superheroes and villains in a battle if enough research was completed. Because of this, you would find Batman in crossover battles against Spawn, Superman, Iron Man and even Dracula. Is Batman really the greatest crime fighter throughout all comics?

Like many characters, Batman has evolved from the comic book to movie screen. Which was your favorite Batman film? Batman has been portrayed by many actors by none have stayed to keep Batman flourishing in cinema. Which actor do you think was the best Batman?
