Ryan Reynolds is finally back again as Deadpool for the third time. This time Deadpool will be joined by Hugh Jackman, returning as the iconic Wolverine. The two characters battled each other in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, were the depiction of Deadpool was very different than what we have received from Deadpool’s last two films. In this film its rumored that we will have the return of special characters that we have seen in Marvel films before, thus prompting the Secret Wars. Will this be Marvel’s ultimate film next to Endgame and Infinity War? Stay tuned for the release of Deadpool and Wolverine on July 26th 2024!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer Review!!
The saga continues this Christmas with Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi. At the ending of Episode 7, Rey delivers Anakin’s lightsaber to Luke, who seemed surprised that the lightsaber made its way back to him. In this film you can see Rey going through her lightsaber training and the influence she has on the Force with the rising rocks. Kylo Ren continued his training as well, after surviving his near death experience by Rey. Where are his strength levels within the Force and will get a deeper insight on his master Supreme Leader Snoke? We can see Finn still on his path of healing and Poe side by side with his droid BB-8. Not much is revealed in this trailer which means there will be plenty of surprises to come. Many fans would say the The Force Awakens has lots of elements of A New Hope. So will the Last Jedi pick elements from The Empire Strikes Back? If so this could be an interesting film but what is shocking is hearing Luke in the narrative saying the Jedi must end. What does this mean?? In December we will get our answer…
Justice League 2017 Trailer Review!!!

Finally, DC Comics is catching up to Marvel Studios with their super team The Justice League! This film is following up to the 2016 Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice where Bruce and Diana are searching for the meta humans found in Lex Luthor computer files. Bruce believes he could form a team to help defend Earth against an upcoming galactic threat ( Darkseid). So far, we see Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman working alongside Batman and Wonder Woman battling Parademons, who seem to be on a mission to collect Mother Boxes on Earth. It is rumored that Superman will return even though we haven’t seen him in this trailer. Will Green Lantern make an appearance in this film, or will there be another film that will present him? These questions will be answered this upcoming November when the film is release. With the special effects and action-packed sequences seen in this trailer, The Justice League may give the Avengers a run for their money in the box office! We’ll see in 7 more months!!
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is known as the World’s Greatest Marksmen. He has excellent precision when aiming or randomly throwing or firing weapons. The title of the World’s Greatest Marksmen is challenged by Bulleye, for he has the same uncanny levels as a marksman. Hawkeye is a part of the super team the Avengers and an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Hawkeye and Black Widow worked for the same organizations which gave them significant time together to form a romantic relationship.
Hawkeye is similar to Nightwing, mainly due to their backgrounds. Both characters suffered the loss of their parents, they were both members of the circus, then eventually entering the crime fighting world. Clint has also used different identities like Dick Grayson. Clint was once Ronin, then with the Pym Particles became Goliath. Before Dick Grayson became Nightwing, he was known as Robin, the sidekick to the Dark Knight…
Hawkeye has surprisingly made his way to the big screen. Surprisingly because he is among the non-popular characters of Marvel Comics. Hawkeye is featured on Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, then moving to the big screen with The Avengers 1 and 2 and Captain America Civil War. Hawkeye is portrayed by actor Jeremy Renner. What if Hawkeye could wield the Epirus Bow from the 2011 film Immortals? Do you think this could be the perfect weapon for Hawkeye, just to keep him on par with his superhuman team members?
Hawkeye is very similar to the hero Green Arrow of the DC Universe. One difference between the two characters is style. Hawkeye is outfitted in tactical uniforms while Green Arrow, member of the Justice League, resembles archers in the times of Robin Hood. Also, Green Arrow’s alter ego is Oliver Jonas Queen, the CEO of Queen Industries. Oliver is a wealthy businessman much like Bruce Wayne/ Batman. With his cutting edge in weaponry, Green Arrow is able to contend with whatever gadgets S.H.I.E.L.D may provide Barton. If this battle took place, it would be nothing more than a stalemate. Who do you think would win in a matchup between the two archers??

Comic/Reality Crossover
Powers and abilities of heroes and villains has evolved to greater heights since their origins. This happens through time, when new writers bring fresh ideas to character development. Crossover topics became popular among comic fans, making readers wonder which character would rank at the top of his or her class. Live action crossover films or animations like Michael Habjan’s Superman vs Hulk are exciting short films comic fans would love to see all the time. This could be the reason Marvel has announced they will release the What If….TV series, further satisfying comic fans need for the many possibilities a story could have. Comic fans have speculated and debated on who the strongest heroes are and the most destructive villains throughout all the comic book universes. What creates these crossover scenarios is the focus on the powers and abilities of the characters and then how their strengths and weaknesses compare to each other. Comic crossovers has been created through many publications such as the Crossover Classics, Spawn vs Batman , SpiderMan and Batman and the Amalgam Age of Comics.
Let’s think about our own reality. The characters we know are all ideas from creative writers. With so much history of these unique characters, comics fans and even the creators fantasized on if supernatural powers could be real. But think, do humans have the hidden potential that has yet to be discovered? Stephen Hawking Universe gives us a perspective on our place in the universe and the awareness that infinite worlds exist in cosmos. The idea that the solar system is a huge model of how an atom functions, creates the belief that the solar systems of the universe could be the atoms to a greater being….
Astronomers have sent out radio signals throughout our space exploration history, in search of intelligence. This was the inspiration for films such as Contact. Scientific studies have shown that the brain is a transmitter and receiver of vibrational frequencies like a radio, but much more powerful than any on our planet. Now think for a moment, what if the ideas of comic writers are in fact mental transmissions from other worlds in the universe that contains such characters and cosmic beings?
Let’s look sci-fi films. Do you believe there are movies that hint some truths about the universe and our hidden potentials? In the film The LawnMower Man, the character Jobe explains that the unnaturally phenomenon such as telekinesis, isn’t new but a dormant natural function of man.
Humans are known to use approximately 10%-15% brain power. What will happen if we could use 100% in our daily lives, pushing the brain’s alpha waves to the maximum? Will we then become our original design? The human body has evolved and still evolving through each generation. Take this news clip of a boy who can see in the dark.
Haven’t we seen this before with Riddick? When you ask most people on Earth who created humans, they would answer by saying God. Is that the truth, or is that a myth told throughout time to hide who really designed our biological machines we call the human body?
Is it human evolution or self-realization? Do we have the dormant genetic codes that could produce feats of power some would consider unnatural like the world of the X-Men, or even portrayed in the popular TV Series Heroes? What are the true limits of our humanity?
Has human’ true potential been mentally locked away through the years of developing social structure such as religion, governments, and rationalization? What if the Matrix trilogy is explaining how to break such mental control on how we view our reality, from a worldly to universal standpoint? Just imagine if everyone on Earth could use 100% of their mental and physical potential. Immortality could be very possible, and the world order would never be the same. Instead of waging war over resources and power, we must come to realize that we are one race of beings among billions of life forms, intelligent and unintelligent throughout the universe. How are we to protect ourselves against natural or unnatural universal catastrophes when we are busy dominating each other? For example, movies such as Knowing and 2012 display natural occurrences that happen throughout the cosmos on planetary systems. This natural occurrence would be described as the planet cleansing itself. Or movies such as Independence Day and Battleship which display intelligent life forms in the universe that may or may not come to Earth in peace. What real defense do we have against forces like these?
Comics books is another avenue that fills the void of such possibilities. Heroes are created with special gifts, natural or artificial that help defend against forces outside of human comprehension, till the day we learn to free our minds….
Godzilla Vs Kong Trailer Review!!!

This classic match up has finally arrived at the big screen once again! The first match up took place in back in 1962, now that technology has transformed in cinema, this classic battle will be exciting to see in digital format. From the trailer it appears that the humans have successfully captured Kong, following the last encounter with the giant ape 29 years after WW2. Godzilla was last seen assisting Earth’s forces against ancient monsters, but this time, we can see Godzilla attacking his allies and Kong is there to stop him. What side are you on when this battle begins? Godzilla vs Kong will release on March 26, 2021, in theatres and stream on HBOMax.
Lord Beerus
Dragonball Z is now Dragonball Super, an era where Earth defenders are battling among gods. Lord Beerus, God of Destruction is the new villain whose purpose is to destroy planets, thus bringing balance in the cosmos. Lord Beerus resembles the appearance of the Egyptian God Set, with destructive power like Sekhmet. The only thing that seems to distract Beerus from his destructive quest is the taste of unique foods. Because of this, Earth is spared as long as Beerus appetite is satisfied.
Even though Lord Beerus is classified a villain because of his destructive nature, he is responsible for making Goku and Vegeta aware of the saiyan God. Although Beerus is a god, he has a martial arts master named Whis, who is responsible for training Beerus and the saiyans to use their god forms. The saiyans trained immensely to master their new powers but still fall short of Beerus’ might individually. Broly and Omega Shenron are two powerful villains that Earth defenders had to face. Omega Shenron is the negative force of Shenron, created from the overuse of the dragonballs. Broly is a saiyan born with abnormal energy reserves that continues to grow rapidly during combat without ever fatiguing. Since both super villains have an overwhelming sense for destruction and with proper training, could Broly or Omega Shenron take on the role as God of Destruction?

Dr. Doom
Dr. Doom, like many villains or some heroes, started with tragic beginnings. Doom lost his mother from a dealing gone wrong with the devil Mephisto and his father was lost in a grieving attempt to save his mother. Because the tragedy stemming from supernatural forces, Doom heavily indulged in learning science and magic in attempts to save his mother’s soul. Dr. Doom’s desire to gain more knowledge and power consumed him to the point where his actions took a villainous side than heroic. Because of this, Dr. Doom had many run ins with super teams such as The Fantastic Four and the Avengers, stopping his plans of domination.
Dr. Doom’s intellect level is in comparison with Lex Luthor, Reed Richards, Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark and even Dr. Strange in various degrees. Dr. Doom has many accomplishments and failures in his conquest of rulership. He has even been able to have the Infinity Gauntlet in his possession. Thanos also felt he was worthy of the Infinity Gauntlet as well, even though he failed its power.
Dr. Doom has made his appearance on-screen with The Fantastic Four , Rise of the Silver Surfer and the 2015 Fantastic Four. Dr. Doom appeared to be the main villain for each of the Fantastic Four movies. Each film showed small portions of Dr. Doom’s potential as a menacing super villain. With the 2015 reboot of Fantastic Four, Dr. Doom took on a different origin in power. He also took on different look and array of powers, completely erasing any signs of humanity. With these big changes to the character and storyline, the film took a big lost to its ratings and loyalty to comic fans. Are the current adaptations of Dr. Doom the last of his on-screen appearances or can movie producers revive and correct his character development?
Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Dr. Doom goes to DeviantArt artist TylerWalpole. Excellent Work!!
X-Men: Apocalypse Movie Review!!!
Movie Review!!!
X-Men Apocalypse is the ninth film of the X-Men movie series. Its opening weekend worldwide brought in $265.8 million dollars. This is a low, first weekend count compared to 2016’s comic films Batman V Superman, Deadpool and Captain America: Civil War. The director of the X-Men film Bryan Singer, is back again to display his vision of the famous super team. Lots of comic fans have mixed opinions on Singer’s work. He can make superpowers look amazing on screen but his cinematic story timelines for the characters don’t match the origins of the comic books or previous films he has created in the series. Star Wars for instance, is a film series that is connected together in a big story that flows. The X-Men films series had that same potential because of its comic book popularity, but because of its notably changes, X-Men films are the least favorite in Marvel’s cinematic universe. Let’s find out what threw fans off with this film.

Apocalypse
According to the comics, Apocalypse is a known warrior that outranked all humans because of his incredible strength and size. What defined him as mutant was being born with grey skin, blue lips and nails. No one knew what Apocalypse mutant powers were exactly until he merged himself with Celestial technology. In the post credit of X-Men: Days of Future Past, young Apocalypse is shown building the pyramids with telekinesis, with his four horsemen observing in the background. At this point in time, it was obvious that Apocalypse has yet to merge with the technology of the gods. In this film, Apocalypse was explained as a mutant who amassed his great powers by transferring his conscious mind in different mutants over time, especially superpowers that suits his needs. He later discovered that its Jean’s power is what he needed instead of Xavier because she holds the Phoenix Force. If Apocalypse was the first mutant, how did he collect powers over his early reign on Earth? This is very different from the comic origins. Days of Future Past and Apocalypse didn’t match up with each other on how the character was brought to the big screen. Some would agree that Apocalypse natural size could have been similar to Xerxes in the film 300. Apocalypse was portrayed by actor Oscar Issac. What was your take of Apocalypse on the movie screen?

Angel/ ArchAngel
This film will be the second appearance for the hero Angel. The vision for this character was lackluster and outside his natural cinematic timeline. Angel’s first appearance was with X-Men: The Last Stand. His story was shown as a young boy trying to hide his mutation from his father by attempting to cut his wings off. When Angel got older and couldn’t hide his wings much longer, his father encouraged the removal, but Angel developed a change of heart. At the end of the film, Angel is enrolling himself in Xavier’s school. In X-Men Apocalypse, Angel is also in his teen years as a caged fighter. His left wing was damaged during his fight, then later upgraded by the power of Apocalypse. What’s off about this is in the comics, Apocalypse tricked Angel in believing he could turn him human but instead enslaved him as a horseman. The process for his enhancements was a very painful, torturous procedure. Angel developed a blue hue to his skin which resembles his master Apocalypse. Why is Angel in his teen years in both films? If the cinematic timeline of X-Men Apocalypse is set before The Last Stand, why is Angel still a teenager? And why wasn’t he introduced in X-Men: First Class as an original X-Men along with Ice Man?

Nightcrawler/ Mystique
This will be the second time comic fans have enjoyed Nightcrawler on screen. Nightcrawler was introduced in X-Men 2 as a tool for William Stryker before his was rescued by the X-Men. Also in this film, he has no knowledge of the X-Men , especially with Storm, Jean Grey or even Mystique. In X-Men Apocalypse, it’s a younger Nightcrawler who is saved from cage fighting by Mystique then later becoming one of the X-Men. What throws the cinematic timeline off is since Nightcrawler is meeting his new friends for the first time in Apocalypse, why does he have no knowledge of them in X-Men 2? In the comics, Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mother. This is a result of Mystique’s affair with Azazel, who was introduced in X-Men First Class. Is it possible Nightcrawler was conceived between the First Class and Apocalypse timelines since it was 21-year difference? In Days of Future Past, Mystique came across Trask’s files of mutants that were killed and experimented on. Azazel was among the lists. How was this immortal teleporting demon captured and even killed by humans??

Havoc/ Cyclops
There were obvious changes when bringing these two brothers to the big screen. According to the comics, Scott Summers is the older brother between himself and Havoc. In this film, Scott was introduced as the younger brother and was brought to Xavier for treatment by Havoc. In the comics, these brothers lost their parents in a plane crash and from that crash, Scott lost the ability to control his optic beams from an injury to his head. In this film, Scott Summer began to develop his powers while in regular public school. Also, their parents were alive and well, then even allowed Havoc to bring Scott with him to Xavier. What was confusing about the cinematic timeline in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Scott Summers was captured by Sabretooth along with mutants for William Stryker. During his capture, Scott was shown already equipped with ruby quartz lenses. How could he have gotten them if he has yet to meet the Professor? Scott was also later found and led to freedom from Stryker’s base by an older Xavier. This made no sense in the cinematic timeline because Xavier was a older, bald and walking when he rescued Scott. With Havoc, why did Bryan Singer fail to show fans that Havoc could absorb cosmic energy as well as fire optic beams and even fly?? Is Havoc really dead or will his character miraculously reappear in future X-Men films?

Jean Grey/ Wolverine
Jean Grey is among the X-Men once again, with a younger version portrayed by Sophie Turner. Hugh Jackman also made his return as Wolverine for this movie. What was confusing in this movie with Jean Grey was her previous younger form in X-Men: The Last Stand. In the beginning, Xavier and Magneto is visiting her as a child, trying to figure out the extent of her powers. Also, Xavier and Magneto could have been in their mid 40’s in that film, but in X-Men Apocalypse, Xavier and Magneto was not together as friends and they were in their early years while Jean was an older teenager. Jean Grey in this film displayed her inner power as the Phoenix, while in The Last Stand, Jean Grey experienced the Phoenix Force for the first time as an adult. Also, what threw comic and cinema fans way off was Jean releasing Wolverine from the Weapon X Program. In any flashbacks shown during the X-Men series or even X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Logan is shown escaping experimentation on his own. Why was this changed? Was Bryan Singer trying to create a way on how Logan built his attraction for Jean Grey??
Jubilee
Last but not least the cameo for Jubliee. Throughout the X-Men films, Jubliee has made small appearances notably in the first X-Men film and X-Men Apocalypse. If you pay close attention, Jubliee is a student in both films. If she was a student in the prequel films, why is she still a student and not an X-Man? Will she ever graduate or stay a student cameo?
Atrocitus
Atrocitus made his introduction to the comic world in the Blackest Night comic series. The Red Lantern Corps is the third strongest corps next to the White and Black Lantern Corps. After losing his family to the Manhunters, Atrocitus was consumed by anger and rage, which fueled his revenge against the Guardians of the Universe. As leader of the Red Lantern Corps, recruiting soldiers wouldn’t be difficult. Many characters throughout all comic universes have gone through intense states of rage…
After the Blackest Night introduction, Atrocitus and his Red Lantern Corps made a quick transition to television in the Green Lantern Animated Series Cartoon. This is the third Lantern Corps that has made a live appearance along with the Blue Lantern Corps. Will Atrocitus ever make it to the movie screen or was the animated cartoon series the first- and last-time comic fans will see the Leader and Master of rage?
What if…. Atrocitus went too far to make sure his Corps was the most dominant among them all. What if Atrocitus recruited powerful Sith Lords or even Dark Phoenix herself? Can Atrocitus and his fantasy members be stopped?! To Be Continued….
Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Atrocitus goes to DevianArt artists, code names: vassdeviant and xXNightblade08Xx .
