DEADPOOL REVIEW!!

This film is made for Ryan Reynolds. Placing Ryan as Green Lantern made that film seem more of a Marvel film. In the Deadpool film, that was made fun of with the beginning scene car wreck, the picture in the wallet! Also, this version of Deadpool was different than what we saw in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This also was made in a funny reference as a figurine. It was like the film of Deadpool was showing spoofs of the other Marvel films in this one. This Deadpool was closer to his comic origins than on X-Men Origins Wolverine. Deadpool is the second Marvel film to receive a R rating next to Blade, so no kids allowed!! The film started off action packed, then later slowed down to explain Deadpool’s origins. The film would have been even more interesting if Wolverine was used in this film instead of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. If Wolverine was in this movie, then we can see him R-rated as he should be. It is projected at the end of the film that Cable will be brought into the sequel. The film was an hour and 48 minutes. Comic Multiverse recommends this film to all comic fans who love Deadpool. This film was made with a budget of $58 million and sold $783.1 million dollars! Big success!!

Dislikes for the Film: NONE!!

In the ending credits of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury realized the Earth was in danger and The Avengers were not available to face this threat. Nick sent out a signal to Captain Marvel, a new hero fans have yet to see on-screen. 2019 Captain Marvel grossed over $550 million dollar so far, overshadowing any doubt that Captain Marvel will perform well among the latest Marvel releases. Was Captain Marvel everything you expected?

Carol Danvers is a part of the StarForce, a team which is similar to the Nova Corps in the MCU. In fact, The Nova Empire and the Kree Empire have a peace treaty with one another, which created an uproar among many. We get to see this how life was during this treaty and the conflict it created with the help of the cameo appearances from Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer. Their appearance in this film help express their importance in the Guardians of the Galaxy film. Why do you think Captain Marvel is used in the cinematic universe instead of Nova, when Nova was in the original story when Earth heroes fought Thanos for the Gauntlet? What of Adam Warlock? Adam was mentioned at the end credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2. He had a major playing part in the fight against Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Will he make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame film?

The Skrulls made an appearance in this film, but their début was not as expected. Known as a villainous, devious warrior race in the comics, this version of the Skrulls turned out to be the victims of the Kree Empire. Mar-Vell was responsible for creating an engine which has lightspeed capabilities, an engine to help the remaining Skrulls evade the war and find a new home far away in the cosmos. Mar-Vell was killed for her secret project and the power core it has, which turned out to be the Tesseract. The likeness of Mar-Vell was then taken to become the Supreme Intelligence of the Kree, and this is where Carol uncovered the Kree’s true intentions which were completely hostile. In the comics, Mar-Vell was a male warrior and was known as Captain Marvel for quite some time in comic publications before changing that role to a female. Do you think it the change for Mar-Vell was just or was it nothing more than an unnecessary change producers made to the comic story?

The Stones that power the Gauntlet are from cosmic origins and they ultimately control the fundamentals of the universe. In the comic story, Thor was the strongest Avenger to battle Thanos. In the cinematic universe, Thor’s powers have doubled when fighting against his sister Hela, then increasing to greater heights after receiving Stormbreaker. Stormbreaker was specially designed by Eitri to combat the controlling power of the Gauntlet. This means that the full might of these weapons is determined by the will of the wielder. Are producers trying to convey that Captain Marvel could be perhaps stronger than Thor in the upcoming Endgame or will she just become another team player? Avengers Endgame will release April 26, 2019, answering all questions on where this story of the Infinity Gauntlet could be headed

X-Men: Dark Phoenix to date has grossed $34 million from a $200 million dollar budget. Critics and comic fans agree that the X-Men movie franchise lacks accuracy and consistency among its films. This film is rated the worst among the other X-Men films released, leaving fans worried if the New Mutants would make it to the cinematic format. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the X-Men‘s final battle like the Endgame for the Avengers. This film loosely focuses on the Dark Phoenix comic series…

The D’Bari race are among the billions killed by Dark Phoenix in the comics. In this film, they come to Earth to claim the power of the Phoenix Force, to help rebuild their race. This is similar to the portrayal of the Skrulls in 2019 Captain Marvel, but the D’Bari killed the human forms they choose to mimic and seem to be physically stronger than some their mutant opponents. The leader Vuk tried to manipulate Jean into giving the power of the Phoenix to her, which is somewhat similar with Sebastian Shaw bringing Jean Grey into the folds of the HellFire Club. The HellFire Club was featured in X-Men: First Class.

It’s confusing with how Dark Phoenix was displayed in this movie compared to her portrayal in the Last Stand and Apocalypse. In the Last Stand, Jean is approached by Charles and Erik about her powers and receives an invitation to their Institution for the gifted. In this movie, Jean inadvertently kills her mother and injures her father in a car crash. From there, Charles decides to take Jean and train her to control her powers correctly. In X-Men United, Jean’s power of the Phoenix manifested when she sacrifices herself to save the X-Men. This throws off the audience because in Apocalypse and The Last Stand, Jean’s inner power was always caged away mentally by Xavier, as if the Phoenix Force was a part of Jean all along and he knew of the darker side the power has.  Both times we see the Dark Phoenix on film, she disintegrates her victims in a form that is similar to the Gauntlet snap in Infinity War and Endgame. Why do you think movie producers like the use of ashes as the form of death caused by cosmic power?

This film continues the difference in ideals between Charles and Erik. The loss of Mystique brought the rivalry back to life between the leaders. Erik resides on Genosha with his following of mutant refugees, without the scrutiny of the world governments. When Erik finds out Jean killed Mystique, he sets out to destroy her while Xavier tries his last attempt into saving her. Because the X-Men began to fall apart and helping mutants is not being perceived as self-served, Xavier retires his position at the X-Mansion. Erik wanted nothing more but to stand apart from humans since his traumatic upbringing while Xavier, always believed that mutants could coexist peacefully with humans. In the end, both Erik and Xavier are right and wrong on how mutants should exist on Earth.

If the all X-Men films have inconsistent story plots, why has the franchise last over 12 films? Why do we as comic fans keep buying into it? It’s because of the great actors who’ve portrayed the iconic characters and the CGI visual creativity of the mutant powers. It’s possible that the MCU will include the X-Men, since Disney owns 20th Century Fox, but that X-Men would become a reboot, new actors and new story. X-Men: Dark Phoenix should have been a two part feature, where the finale would bring the audience full circle back to the X-Men of 2000 or if the past was really altered by the help of Wolverine in Days of Future Past, then the movie should have brought the story to that timeline. MOVIE REVIEW!!!!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is an excellent movie among many superhero films! This is the first time that these two characters have met live on film. Critics slammed this movie so much it made comic fans even more intrigued to see it. The weekend total sales for this movie were 424.1 million dollars which shows that movie critics cannot figure out the outcome for such a film. This movie was a mixture of the Frank Miller story of Batman v Superman, Superman: Doomsday, and Justice League War.

The total sales for the film is $873.6 million million dollars.

Likes:  Comic fans were not sure if Ben Affleck could pull of this role because of his previous role as Daredevil, who is among the Marvel Universe. This Batman was very brutal compared what we’ve seen on screen before. This Batman made use of guns and didn’t killing off goons trying to kill him. Since Man of Steel, Clark Kent has become an investigative reporter for the Daily Planet. He takes notice of news reports in Gotham City, of a vigilante spreading fear and chaos throughout the underworld. As for Superman, Clark sees how the world is having a divided opinion about him. In the Man of Steel, Jor-El lets Superman know he is unique and with his powers, he must lead the human race to become better through his example. Clark’s Earth father Jonathan Kent advised Clark the world wasn’t ready for him. No matter how much good Superman does for the planet, some people feel that his presence is making the natural order of the world become disrupted. These lessons are what Clark had to face as Superman in this film…

The best part of the film is the showdown between the two heroes. What’s interesting about this showdown is that Batman viewed Superman as a threat because of the destruction in Metropolis. Before Superman, humans thought they were alone in the universe. Now an alien from space is now the savior of the planet?? Batman had a vision of a possible future Earth, where Superman decided to use his power for control. Superman viewed Batman as a criminal, and working outside the law goes against what Superman stands for. In the end, Superman can easily destroy Batman with brute force. Batman, on the other hand could outwit Superman and defeat him. So, the conclusion is that both characters realized they are better together than against each other. That’s what heroes do!

Dislikes:

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor!!!! This is the most common dislike among most comic fans. If anything, Jesse could play a perfect Riddler. That’s only if The Riddler is featured in any future Batman movies. This is the ONLY dislike Comic Multiverse has rated for this film.

Marvel comics has the “one up” on DC Comics with their costume design. Black Panther and Spiderman of Captain America: Civil War, have eye covers for their masks. Batman did have that feature but only for his armored suit. In this film, we couldn’t see Batman’s vision behind the armored helmet. Its possibly that the appearance of his vision would be similar to Iron Man’s helmet in the MCU. But if Batman’s regular costume was equipped like Black Panther’s, we could see Batman switch through his different visions as shown in most animated films or video games such as Arkham Knight. 

This deleted scene has comic fans speculating. Lex is seen in communion with Steppenwolf. Is it possible that Lex summoned Darkseid to Earth?

In the comics when Superman return from his death, he was outfitted in a black and silver version of his costume. In the Man of Steel, when Zod was explaining to Clark of his intentions for the Codex, you can see Superman wearing his all black Kryptonian attire. Superman is rumored to return in the Justice League film in his black attire. Some speculate how he may acquire this version. It’s very possible that more suits are aboard the Genesis Chamber Ship, which is still in Metropolis. At the end of Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller is giving Bruce Wayne files on metahumans. Is it possible that Bruce will also get access to the ship like Lex did? With this possibility, Bruce could learn of the ship’s technology to improve his own as Batman. He could then learn to repair it for flight to make it as a base for the Justice League. Of course, this would create the tension between Bruce and Amanda because it would be theft of government property. Most importantly the ship’s computer would have the knowledge on Kryptonian biology to let Bruce know how to heal Superman. How do you think Superman will return?

Deadpool is back again! The first film’s huge success quickly ushered the second feature, which grossed $785 million to date. The cinematic version of Deadpool is displayed as a spoof movie or a parody to the Marvel films and is closely related to the X-Men franchise. Deadpool still struggles to fight justice in a civil fashion like most heroes. His humorous punch lines and graphic action sequences help draw in big audiences for an R-rated Marvel Film since the Blade movies and Logan.

What was your take on Josh Brolin playing Cable? Cable coming to the big screen is a great look for the X-Men series, but there were some powers and abilities about Cable that were not explored, which could have made this character just as good as the portrayal of Thanos. For instance, like his mother Jean Grey, Cable is an Omega Level mutant with the power of telepathy and telekinesis. His telekinetic powers seem more remotely used by his cybernetic eye, which in the comics was more used to detect psionic energy. With the heavy use of telekinesis and telepathy in this film, Cable would be mistaken for a Force User! Also, Cable is able to call force fields and make use of his time traveling device, but we missed the use of his teleportation mechanism. In the comics, Deadpool makes use of the teleportation gadget where in the movie he uses the time device as his own. This is just one of many things that confused the depiction of Deadpool on-screen. It could also be the reason in the ending credits, Deadpool enters X-Men Origins: Wolverine and kills that version of Deadpool. In DP2, Cable’s mission is to destroy the mutant Firefist before he kills Cable’s family in the future.

In Marvel Comics, X-Force is a team that was created by Cable in efforts to take down mutant terrorists around the world. In Deadpool 2, Wade was responsible for creating X-Force in hopes of saving Firefist from prison and Cable. Much of Deadpool’s recruits didn’t survive and what was left of X-Force eventually consisted of Cable, Deadpool, and Domino. Her feature on this film was excellent and the display of her mutant powers as a luck charm was interesting to see. Question is, if Domino can dominate luck into her favor, wouldn’t she be more deadly than Deadpool and Cable? Wouldn’t she also a difficult target to eliminate?

Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio return to aid Wade in his action-packed adventures. A version of Yukio is featured in The Wolverine, which was a character that was heavily mentioned in both films. Yukio in The Wolverine was able to sense impending death on an individual and in DP2 she can wield electricity. Even though Hugh Jackman states that he’s done playing Wolverine, wouldn’t it be cool for him to play the role once more for either possibly the next Deadpool or an Avengers feature? There were other X-Men cameos in this film such as Beast, Cyclops, Quicksilver and Professor Xavier. All characters we’ve seen in the other X-Men movies, Negasonic Teenage Warhead would be a new addition, but why was Colossus created different from his earlier version in X2 and Days of Future Past? Why was this Colossus always in his organic steel form where in the other films, the character was in his relaxed human form, especially in the X-Mansion where no danger was present?

Take A Look At Some Hot Collectibles for Deadpool!!

This 2017 feature of Wonder Woman did $504.9 million in profits, with many mixed reviews which led to the slow-growing sales. Wonder Woman is the second hero of the Justice League to have a solo movie. This film starts out in the present day, sometime after Superman’s funeral in Batman V Superman. Lex Luthor knew of Diana’s presence and chronological age through a photo taken back in World War 1. This film deals more with that time period instead of the present day.

The original photo was later obtained by Bruce Wayne and given to Diana as a gift of good faith between the heroes. The audience is taken back in time where Diana is growing up on Themyscira. Beginning from an early teen, Diana is secretly training to become a warrior against her mother’s wishes. When this was later found out, Diana was admitted to further training, only on the conditions that her training will be harder than what any Amazon has faced. Later, Themyscira is accidentally discovered by the opposing teams of the current world war. Upon receiving information on the world war, learning the deaths of millions especially woman and children, Diana concluded Ares is the main culprit to the world issues. Diana chose to leave her home hoping to defeat Ares, thus ending world conflicts forever. What Diana learned after Ares’ defeat was mortals could no longer be influenced by the Gods of the past and had the free will to decide peace or war among themselves.

Diana’s mission to defeat Ares was reminiscent of Captain Rogers during his crusade against the Red Skull. In the cinematic timelines of DC and Marvel Comics, Captain Roger’s heroic past was during World War 2 while Diana was in the first World War. Captain America is a biological experiment that was able to dominate the battle field. He turned the tides of the war, seemingly destroying the infamous Hydra, thus spreading his name worldwide. Wonder Woman is a demigod warrior, who easily prevailed during battle because of her powers passed down from the Gods. Her love for the innocent kept her actively involved through the decades protecting the freedoms of the innocent.

After the release of this film, Batman V Superman seemed to flow nicely with the story line of Wonder Woman. Diana took witness of the rise and fall of Superman, an alien with similar strength levels to her own. Batman was someone Diana is impressed by because as a mortal with no powers, his commitment a world hero is common with her core beliefs. More than likely, Batman reminds Wonder Woman of Steve Trevor, a mortal soldier willingly to put his life on the line for the innocent. As such, Diana helped Bruce find the meta humans that were found in Lex Luthor’s computer files. Diana grouped herself with exceptional men once before to take down Ares, now she will do so again. This time the threat is coming from deep space and her band of warriors are standalone heroes like herself that will unite together in the upcoming Justice League movie. Was Wonder Woman educated about universal beings in Themyscira, or will this become a whole new experience for the Amazon to face? What are your thoughts for this Wonder Woman release? Black Adam entered theatres with mixed reviews from movie critics, as comic fans enjoyed the film for the most part. Black Adam generated $393.5 million dollars from a budget of $230 million, categorizing this a failed project by DC Comics. Moviegoers would agree that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever could be the reason Black Adam didn’t generate more profits in its theatrical run. The success of the first Black Panther gave way for an easy win for its second film, taking away much interest in Black Adam after two weeks. Black Adam made an early digital release on November 22nd, 2022, then begins streaming on HBOMax December 16, 2022.

What do you think of Dwayne Johnson‘s portrayal of Black Adam? Dwayne expressed his desire to play Black Adam for some time, even being a part of production when Shazam was in development. In this cinematic story, Black Adam is released from his prison to become champion of Kahndaq once again, freeing the people from intergang mercenaries of the present day. Black Adam’s power is tested against Sabbac, ultimately and seemingly making Black Adam worthy of the powers originally bestowed to his son.

Black Adam and Captain Marvel are opposites sides on the same coin. In both films, The Wizards imbued young boys with the power of Shazam. Billy Batson accepted his power to protect his family and save the world from evil while Teth Adam used his power to take revenge for the death of his family. Neither character is featured in either film as a contender or ally. It’s suggested in both films that neither the Shazam Family nor Black Adam is aware of each other’s existence.

In Shazam’s deleted scene, there is one more seat in the Throne Room that is not filled. Is this seat for Black Adam? Is this the reason why Black Adam felt that taking the throne of Khandaq was wrong after defeating Sabbac? Will Black Adam and Shazam come face to face, since the possibility of battling Superman is nonexistence now that Henry Cavill will no longer be The Man of Steel?

The Justice Society of America made its intro to the cinematic world as the team to take down Black Adam. Ethnic background changes seem to be the norm now in comic films such with Hawkman, Cyclone, DeadShot, Human Torch and Heimdall just to name a few. What bothered comic fans was the death of Dr. Fate. Why would writers change Dr. Fate from being an immortal hero to becoming vulnerable? In the comics and television series, The Justice Society and Justice League works together to battle global and universal threats. Do you think we will see such union in future films? Black Panther is one of Marvel Comics most anticipated films of 2018. It presold more tickets than any Marvel film, thus placing the movie as the third highest to sell over a weekend. To date, Black Panther has sold $727.9 million dollars worldwide! Captain America: Civil War was the film that ushered the Panther to Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Nation of Wakanda was mentioned, as a country rich with Vibranium. Black Panther is a film with great action sequences, excellent African wardrobes, culture and an amazing cast.

Black Panther takes place a week after T’Challa turns Helmut Zemo in for his crimes and for the death of his father T’Chaka. T’Challa returns home to Wakanda to assume the role of King. During this time, Captain America and Bucky are fugitives kept in secret in Wakanda. Wakanda is guarded by a force field which hides the city in plain sight, just like Themyscira in the 2017 Wonder Woman. Wakanda is the only technologically advanced city on Earth. Under the city lies the rich Vibranium mine and the gardens of herbs which is used to give Wakandan kings their powers.

The Vibranium Panther suit was one of greatest features of the movie. The upgraded armor can materialize over the wearer from a special necklace. The user can then mentally command any part of the suit as needed. The vibranium in the suit stores incoming kinetic energy which then can be dispersed out like an explosive wave. This explosion can be used to hurl enemies, destroy vehicles or help catapult the wearer wherever needed. Its major weakness is sonic waves, very similar to the symbiotes of the Venom family. Which character do you think would use Vibranium in their tech more efficiently between Batman and Iron Man?

This film came with not one villain but three. Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan was the major villain followed by the return of Klaue and the Man-Ape M‘Baku. Killmonger turned out to become a favorite villain in cinema because of his connection with the black audience. His goal was to help those of African descent around the world to fight against their oppressors with the advanced technology of Wakanda. When he became King for a brief period, he dawned himself as the Golden Jaguar instead of a Black Panther. He felt that all Africans should share in the wealth of Wakanda instead of just those who reside there. Klaue was last seen retreating for his life after Ultron cuts of his arm in Avengers: Age of Ultron. His arm has since been replaced with a sonic blaster, which has the same destructive power as the Panther suit. Klaue is eventually killed by Killmonger, who uses Klaue’s dead corpse as a pass into Wakanda. M’Baku turned out to be much different on screen than how he portrayed in the comics. Instead of being Wakanda’s major villain, M’Baku turned out to be the savior of T’Challa and even helped him reclaim his throne from Killmonger…

Next film slated for the Black Panther is Avengers: Infinity War. From the preview we can see Wakanda is invaded by, what looks like beings from another world. Some of the Avengers are helping the Black Panther defend his hidden nation. What is the Black Panther’s role in the upcoming Infinity War? Will the Black Panther have a second solo film? Now that Disney has acquired the Marvel Characters from Fox Studios, will we see Storm in future Black Panther films as the Queen of Wakanda? So, what were your final thoughts on the Black Panther film??

Morbius is introduced to the cinematic universe through Sony Pictures, with a lot of negative reviews from movie critics. Morbius initial appearance was in the first Blade film before the credits, which didn’t make the theatrical cut. Because of the Covid Pandemic, this film suffered a delay on its release date, originally slated for July of 2020. With the time given by Covid, wouldn’t it been possible to make corrections to this film making it among the top rank vampire films? Despite the setback and many unfavorable reviews, Morbius generated 167.5 million from an $83 million dollar budget.

What did capture the audience’s attention for the most part was the visual effects. The display of superpowers Michael used as the living vampire was incredible, very reminiscent of Dracula Untold. With this display of vampiric power, it’d be cool to see Bruce Wayne take the serum for himself, especially in the Christopher Nolan series or even when battling Superman and Doomsday in Batman V Superman. Do you think this cinematic version of Morbius can take on Marcus Corvinus in a fight?

Do you think Morbius should have been introduced through Spiderman like in the comics? If so, this would have been an excellent third story for Spiderman portrayed by Andrew Garfield. In the ending credits of this 2021 feature, Morbius comes face to face with the Vulture presumably making a deal to work together. This is blending Sony and Disney’s interpretation of Marvel characters. We see this same instance in the ending of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, where Venom and Eddie Brock is transported into the MCU. Were these attempts to correct the cinematic background stories of Venom and Morbius, knowing that these characters didn’t exist without the story of Spiderman?
