Robert Pattinson will become the sixth Batman in the DC cinematic universe. This movie is another take on the Batman, resembling Batman Year One and its dark theme is similar to The Crow. This movie will feature the antihero CatWoman and the villains The Riddler, Penguin and Carmine Falcone. The Batman releases October 1, 2021, but will possibly be pushed back because of the Covid-19 pandemic. How will Robert Pattinson measure up to the Batmen before him?
This classic match up has finally arrived at the big screen once again! The first match up took place in back in 1962, now that technology has transformed in cinema, this classic battle will be exciting to see in digital format. From the trailer it appears that the humans have successfully captured Kong, following the last encounter with the giant ape 29 years after WW2. Godzilla was last seen assisting Earth’s forces against ancient monsters, but this time, we can see Godzilla attacking his allies and Kong is there to stop him. What side are you on when this battle begins? Godzilla vs Kong will release on March 26, 2021, in theatres and stream on HBOMax.
DC Comics is at a good pace creating feature films for their iconic characters. This 2017 feature of Wonder Woman will be the first major female role in the comic universe and she will be the second member of the Justice League to bring a new visual of her history on-screen. The costume design and visual effects created for Woman Woman will bring this character to life, really portraying to the audience how she is a valuable hero and how she measures equally with her male companions. From the preview we see how the Amazons are separated from the world conflicts on the secret island of Themiscyra. In the Justice League trailer, the Amazon warriors are at battle with what could be Darkseid’s legion of Parademons. Will these two movies tie in with one another in some way? Are the Amazons, one of the sole keepers of a Mother Box? Just like in her comic book history, Diana will choose to enter man’s world, putting her training to use fighting for,, well on June 2nd, we will see the details of the conflict!
Morbius will be the second villain of SpiderMan to have a solo feature. So far, this looks like Morbius will be a smash hit like 2018 Venom. The way Marvel has the power of Morbius shown in this trailer, they have its similarities with NightCrawler and Dracula Untold. Jared Leto (Joker in Suicide Squad) will be the man-made vampire, so could this movie lead to the Blade reboot or continue further to a possible sequel?
This will be the 6th film in the series of the Terminator. In each film, a newly advanced, liquid Terminator is out to destroy the legacy of Sarah Conner. Dark Fate and Salvation are the only films in the series where humans are turned into cyborgs in attempts to efficiently infiltrate the Resistance, compared to their T-800 counterparts. Linda Carroll Hamilton has returned to portray Sarah since her last appearance in Terminator 2. Her last encounter with the Terminator seemed to be a peaceful truce, why would Sarah seem uneasy about it now where she wants it destroyed? Now that the Terminator(Schwarzenegger) has been upgraded to liquid metal, how will it compare to the newer version from the future in this movie? Terminator: Dark Fate hits theatres November 1st!

Star Wars is back this holiday season with its final movie of the Star Wars episodes: The Rise of SkyWalker! We see Rey continuing her training without the use of Luke, much like Luke continuing his training in the Force after the loss of both his mentors Obi Wan and Yoda. Not only that, but we also see in this story that Rey will continue her battles with Kylo Ren, who was last seen taking his place as Supreme Leader, after slaying his master Snoke. The real twist that all fans want to know is, how did Palpatine survived his demise on the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi? Does he have cloned bodies made for himself as suggested in comic and video game storylines or will we see a completely new concept on how the Dark Lord is still able to influence the galaxy way past his time. Well… well what can we expect from this film?! This will be the third motion picture for the character Thor, and it seems with each movie, the tone changes. The first film was an intro for the character in the cinematic universe. Thor becomes a hero for Earth as well proving himself worthy in his realm of Asgard. Thor’s second film had a darker theme, illustrating the darker enemies of Asgard who seek a destructive weapon for power and control. The film was also a major piece to the upcoming film Infinity War. In this trailer of Ragnarok, we see Asgard once again under attack but this time by Hela, ruler of Valhalla. Mjolnir is destroyed and it looks as if Thor is taken captive and shipped to a distant part of the universe. Now the film changes giving off the similar retro feel we get with the Guardians of the Galaxy film. Thor no longer looking like the hero we recognize. He’s taken on the look of a gladiator and to our surprise, we will see Thor fighting the Hulk once again. We can also see elements of the World War Hulk in play but instantly have fans wondering: how could The Hulk been captured to become a gladiator off Earth? Last, we seen of The Hulk was the Age of Ultron, as he left his team behind after their fight with Ultron. This is the first of many trailers to come, Thor: Ragnarok will release in November….when that time comes who will win in their battle this time: Thor or The Hulk?
The Joker has made a grand appearance each time his character is reimagined in cinema. Joaquin Phoenix will portray the iconic villain, hoping to supersede the last great performance made by Heath Ledger. From the trailer we see there is a dark undertone, giving this film an official R-rating. We don’t see any signs of the Dark Knight in this film, for its suggested that this Joker is intended to launch DC Black, a series of DC-based standalone films. What are your expectations for this film? Do you think this is the ultimate Joker and if this movie succeeds, will this Joker be a part of the new Batman storyline when it arrives? Godzilla and King Kong have returned together in their new movie The New Empire! In the first movie, Kong and Godzilla battled each other for the crown of King, resulting in a draw between them. In this new trailer we can see that Kong has discovered that his kind are not all extinct and is ruled by the infamous Skar King. Godzilla emerges from hibernation with a new power upgrade fans refer to as Super Saiyan Rose. What is the cause of Godzilla’s new power? Also in the previous film, Kong found his home and obtained a battle axe which enhances his destructive capabilities. Kong later used this weapon to help destroy MechaGodzilla , who was created to kill and replace Godzilla. Maybe in The New Empire, Skar King is set after Kong for his alliance with Godzilla, and the only way to beat the King is for Godzilla to enchance his power to help Kong? Could there more of Godzilla’s species as we see with Kong? Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire releases April 12 2024!
The saga continues this Christmas with Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi. At the ending of Episode 7, Rey delivers Anakin’s lightsaber to Luke, who seemed surprised that the lightsaber made its way back to him. In this film you can see Rey going through her lightsaber training and the influence she has on the Force with the rising rocks. Kylo Ren continued his training as well, after surviving his near death experience by Rey. Where are his strength levels within the Force and will get a deeper insight on his master Supreme Leader Snoke? We can see Finn still on his path of healing and Poe side by side with his droid BB-8. Not much is revealed in this trailer which means there will be plenty of surprises to come. Many fans would say the The Force Awakens has lots of elements of A New Hope. So will the Last Jedi pick elements from The Empire Strikes Back? If so this could be an interesting film but what is shocking is hearing Luke in the narrative saying the Jedi must end.
