Spawn

Spawn is an anti-hero in the Image Comics universe because of his violent and dark methods of bringing criminals to justice. Before becoming Hell’s General, Al Simmons was a highly respected government assassin. After years of killing, Al began questioning his purpose and the immoral motives of his superiors. This ultimately led to his own assassination, but Al’s new superior Malebolgia, recruited him to collect souls for his army which would eventually be used to wage war on the Heavens. Even having powers of demonic origin, Spawn has even proved himself worthy to Heaven that he fights to protect the innocent. Because of this, Spawn began taking on a more angelic form in his armor.

Spawn is one of many comic characters to make it to the big screen with the 1997 New Line Cinema film. The film expressed the comic better than most comic film for they are loosely based on the comic story. What makes the Spawn movie a success, was the creator Todd McFarlane. Todd ensures his fans are getting exactly what was expected from his comic book and not an altered version. STAY TRUE TO THE FANS! This is an important quality Todd McFarlane has. Todd has been actively involved with bringing his character from the drawing paper, all the way to directing and producing the featured film. Todd McFarlane is remaking the film with Jamie Foxx starring as Al Simmons. Do you think Todd should really remake the story on screen or continue with the story he began with in 1997? Why redo a classic??

Spawn has even been involved in a crossover with the DC Universe, battling against Batman. Many comic fans feel despite Batman’s resilient mind, he is no match for a supernatural power of Spawn, or even Dracula. Would Batman stand a better chance against the dark forces with the Sinestro Corps Power Ring at his disposal?? To Be Continued……

Spawn vs GhostRider is just as popular as the battle with Batman. In this fight, the characters share similar roles of being once heralds of the Devils in of their universes. The difference in their powers and abilities determines the outcome of this crossover contest. Who are you betting on?

The Incredible Hulk

Bruce Banner became a green behemoth with incredible power after being exposed by gamma radiation. Like most superheroes, The Hulk is one of the most wanted targets to the US Army. The Hulk’s strength is limitless because he becomes stronger with the level of his rage. Super teams such as The Avengers have a hard time stopping The Hulk head on.

In the World War Hulk storyline, the Hulk was exiled from Earth, only to return much stronger than before with revenge on his mind.  Despite being viewed as a raging monster, Hulk has also been a part of Marvel’s greatest heroes to battle Thanos in The Infinity Gauntlet.

Wolverine and Thor are among many who has battled the Hulk in the comics. These battles later evolved to the animated film Hulk Vs. In the Old Man Logan comic book series, The Hulk finally met his end to Wolverine. The Hulk is a favorite topic of discussion, especially when it comes down to crossover battles such as Hulk vs Superman or Hulk in the Red Lantern Corps. Very popular topics of discussion only to leave comic fans to think what if. Can the Incredible Hulk be matched against any villain or hero with super strength in the comic universe??

The Hulk has his two major films, the 2003 The Hulk and the reboot version 2008 The Incredible Hulk. Bruce Banner was portrayed by Eric Bana in the 2003 film. In 2008 the Hulk was then rebooted with the help of Edward Norton. Now a new variation of the Hulk came in the 2012 , 2015 , and 2018 with Mark Ruffalo. Which Hulk did you think was the best on the big screen?

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is among the strongest heroines in the DC Universe. Diana’s powers are granted to her from the Gods of Olympus, thus becoming a form of demigod. Wonder Woman is very similar to Thor, for the reason both characters stem from mythology. They use their godly powers to help humanity as heroes of a super team. Who do you think is more powerful between Thor and Wonder Woman?Wonder Woman’s home of Themyscira is dominated by only women. This could be the major reason why Wonder Woman doesn’t have solid intimate relationships with men, like Superman and Batman. Wonder Woman finds Superman to be a match for her based on his leadership and the superhuman abilities that are similar to her own. Diana is bred to be an elite warrior of Amazon, her involvement in World Wars gives her a strong sense of field experience when entering battle with the Justice League. This experience outclasses Superman, for he must train his special powers to help benefit his role as a hero…Wonder Women finds interest in a lone warrior like Batman, because of his dark, mysterious and strategic ways as a hero. Not only that, Wonder Woman would give a mortal man much respect for his battle prowess against foes 10 times stronger than himself, without the use of any superpowers. A man putting his life on the line against the odds probably reminds Diana of Steve Trevor in some ways. This also builds enormous amounts of love and compassion in her heart for mortals. This type of love is more than enough to have the Star Sapphire Ring summoned to her every call.Wonder Woman made her way from the comic book to various DC anime and cartoon series, up to the big screen, with Gal Gadot as the actress. Her first appearance was in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, followed by her solo film of 2017, the Justice League film, Wonder Woman 1984 and then The Flash.  What was your take on Gal playing Wonder Woman? Do you think she made a good displayed of the fierce Amazon warrior? If not, which actress do you think could fill the role perfectly? Storm

Storm is an Omega Level Mutant with the primary power of controlling the weather. The magnitude of her powers can be stretch from Earth to outer space. The depths of her powers led her people to believe she was a goddess, sent to help tribes thrive during harsh weather seasons. After being discovered by Professor X, Storm learned to control her powers at a great degree and even joined his X-Men. Her commitment to the team earned Storm the leadership role in Cyclops absence.

Weather is responsible for shaping the planet and way of life. We have even used the weather to harness energy and feed the population. Unstable weather conditions have taken lives, destroyed homes and cities. If humans could effectively control the weather like Storm, we could change our way of life forever. Humans could even have the ability to make Mars a living planet like Earth. Would Storm be strong enough to control the storms on Jupiter?

Thor is another character in the Marvel universe that can control the weather. Because of Loki’s need to test his brother, he influenced Storm to wield the StormCaster making her the Goddess of Thunder. If Storm retains her mutant powers while acquiring additional powers with StormCaster, is she stronger than Thor at that point? With the X-Men series making it to the big screen, comic fans got a chance to see the weather goddess in action. Halle Berry portrayed Storm in the majority of the film series, then Alexandra Shipp played a younger Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse. Is this the last we will see of this character, or will there be a new Storm if X-Men was ever rebooted?

Spiderman

Spiderman is one of the most popular characters created in the Marvel Universe. Because of his popularity, it stands to reason for Spiderman to have a great number of villains to oppose him, much like Batman. Is this the reason Spiderman and Batman makes a great crossover story?  Spiderman is among a list of characters who acquired powers through a scientific accident. And, if you want to stay updated on the latest entertainment and pop culture news, you might want to navigate to these guys for the freshest scoop on your favorite fandom.

“I’m your friendly neighborhood Spiderman!”

The slogan is true to its meaning. New York City is the central home for most Marvel characters. Spiderman fights crime alone but he has on occasions, fought alongside of the Avengers and the X-Men. Any mission Spiderman requires either team is when the Earth as a whole is threaten.

Over the years, Spiderman has acquired multiple uniforms. Other than his original costume, fans began to favor the costume made by Tony Stark and the symbiote costume. Both uniforms are to enhance Spiderman’s superhuman abilities. Which uniform do you believe to be the best for Spiderman?

Spiderman is one of the few characters to have a plethora of comic stories, television series then live action appearances. Like the Hulk, Spiderman became upgraded with the reboot movie: The Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2. Are reboots really necessary if fans get what they want the first time around? So far, which was your favorite Spiderman film?

Black Panther

Black Panther is described as the true “Batman/ Bruce Wayne” of Marvel Comics. There was the belief that Tony Stark was the wealthiest in the Marvel Universe, comic fans even matched Tony’s heroism against Bruce in many crossover battles. Black Panther would be a more fitting opponent or maybe prove to be very difficult for the Dark Knight in combat. Wakanda kings are trained to be warriors, trained in all forms of combat to one day take on the mantle of The Black Panther. This warrior as Black Panther must be superior in leadership for, he must guide and protect a nation of people, something Tony nor Bruce is at a level of doing.

Black Panther’s abilities are similar to Wolverine‘s. Both characters have enhanced hearing, smell, healing and natural night vision. Captain America was given superhuman abilities with the help of the Super Soldier Serum, just as Black Panther was given his powers from an herb which was mutated from Vibranium. Black Panther can best both Wolverine and Captain America in single combat. Wolverine would be the only character between the three that was born with his superhuman abilities. The costume of Black Panther is made with the Vibranium material as Captain America’s shield. The costume protects the Panther’s complete body making him nearly impenetrable. Adamantium which laces Wolverine’s bones, is stronger than Vibranium, which makes it very possible for Wolverine to deliver a killing blow to Black Panther through the Vibranium. Vibranium is much more valuable because of its extraterrestrial origins whereas Adamantium is man-made. Vibranium is the source of the wealth in Wakanda and is secretly secluded from the rest of the world, much like Themyscira.

Black Panther’s next level of power is considered supernatural. The Black Panther is also known as King of the Dead. The Goddess Bast allows the Panther to control the undead, similar to the Scorpion King controlling Anubis army in the Mummy Returns. Its great speculation if Black Panther could command certain undead figures like Dracula or even have a degree of influence over Spawn. Let’s cross into the DC Universe, could Black Panther potentially become a greater leader than Black Hand? What separates Black Panther’s ability over the undead than the mentioned characters is that his powers were bestowed by a Goddess to protect his people as King. Dracula and Spawn acquired their power from the Devil, which in turn is to be used in service of him. Also with his supernatural ability, Black Panther can receive guidance from the Panther spirits of the past, much like Luke Skywalker learning from his deceased mentors of the Jedi.

In the early 90s, Wesley Snipes began the idea of bringing the Black Panther to life. Complications brought the project to a halt, instead Blade was the start of Marvel Cinematics, with huge success. Captain America: Civil War was the film that introduced Black Panther to cinematic while in the comics, his origins began with the Fantastic Four. After Civil War, Black Panther’s solo release became highly anticipated for 2018, along with Infinity War. How long will fans expect to see Black Panther on-screen? Will he become a major character in Marvel’s cinematic universe, or will the Black Panther become short lived?

Judge Dredd

Judge Dredd comes from a future world of devastation, the result of World War III. Majority of the planet is a radioactive wasteland while the remaining human population resides in Mega Cities. Lack of resources creates desperation, ultimately leading to increased crime and civil war. To combat the chaos, Governments deploy Street Judges to enforce the law, even granting the power to convict or even execute offenders at the scene of the crime.

What if our police force became a force like the Street Judges? We have lived in days of terrorism, cities under martial law and even been through two World Wars. Over the years, law enforcement has used excessive force to show dominance of the law to citizens whether innocent or not. Would our world change for the better with Street Judges or will the public feel a sense of oppression and lash out in a rebellious nature?

Comic fans love crossovers and battles! The three characters that fans who love to see against Judge Dredd is Batman, RoboCop and The Punisher. Each character operating within or outside the law to bring justice for the innocent, mainly for the reason for having a corrupt judicial or executive system. Do you think Judge Dredd can take down each of these characters one on one? Or would it be a better that these characters band together, defeat The Predator on a game reserve planet or stop an infestation of Xenomorphs from plaguing Earth, as suggested through many crossovers?

Judge Dredd transitioned from the comic book to movie screen like many comic characters. Dredd’s two feature films is the 1995 Judge Dredd and Dredd of 2012. Which do you think was the better version of Judge Dredd and will his story continue in cinema?

Thor

As Son of Odin, Thor is among the strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe. Thor can be compared to the saiyan prince Vegeta. Arrogance, headstrong, battle thirsty and a constant need to prove themselves worthy to be among the greatest warriors. Both characters come from royalty, which creates the arrogance and prideful personality that blinded both characters from their true potential and wisdom.

Thor was exiled from Asgard to Earth to learn lessons in humility. While on Earth, Thor became a founding member of the super team The Avengers. Becoming a protector for the Earth helped Thor gain his respect back from his father and Asgard. Thor is a hero responsible for the citizens of Asgard as well as the people of Earth. AquaMan is also a hero that has dual roles. He is hero of Earth with the Justice League, and he is also a King in his underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

Thor is a great leader to his people of Asgard and admired by many. Being destined to become Lord of Asgard over his brother Loki, is what created tension between the brothers. Their rivalry is similar to the story of Cain and Abel in a sense of brotherly jealousy. Even though Loki is considered one of Thor’s greatest foes, Thor could never destroy his brother. Instead, Thor passes Loki up to Odin for judgement.

If recruited to the Blue Lantern Corps, how powerful do you think Thor would become? Would he still need Mjolnir? Or would his constructs be more powerful than the weapon?

Thor has made his evolution to film like many other characters in the Marvel Universe. The 2011, 2013, 2017, and the 2022 films brings Thor to life, with excellent special effects and intense action. Thor is also featured in The Avengers films 1, 2 and Infinity War and Endgame adding to his on-screen appearances. Did Marvel Studios hit their mark when casting Chris Hemsworth as Thor?

One of many crossovers hot topics is Thor vs Superman. Why? Both characters respectfully are the strongest warriors of their super teams. Who will win this match up or will this fight result in a draw? To be continued……

Superman

Superman, known as the Man of Steel, is a cultural icon in America and one of the most famous and powerful superheroes in comic book history. Superman’s power has evolved over the years, when moving from writer to writer. Each creator had the wish to increase the abilities of the character from worldly to universal levels. Superman seems invincible, except to characters such as Batman and Lex Luthor, who has knowledge of Superman’s weaknesses. Along with the power changes, Superman has gone through costume variations as well…. What do you think about the latest Superman costume? Is the Kryptonian biotech armor the best look for Superman? Or can we say more convenient? With this bio tech armor, it would make more sense on how Clark Kent could change into his costume at a quick rate, instead of the old school phone booth technique…….

Many fans grew up believing the emblem on Superman’s costume stood for his name but in fact it stands for hope in the House of El. This being the case, do you believe it to be more suitable for Superman to become a Blue Lantern Corps officer? Could Superman become the greatest if recruited? How would the battle turn out if Superman and Thor both wielded the power of hope?

Dedicated to fighting crime, Superman is leader of the super team the Justice League. This team established to protect the people of Earth from all threats foreign and domestic. Superman feels he has a better place in the world when joined with other heroes that have special abilities like himself. Superman highly respects his second in command for his courage and intellect, which Batman uses in place of having no superpowers.

Superman has evolved from the comic books to many television series and movies. Many fans feel that no actor can compare to the first Superman: Christopher ReeveBrandon Routh was next up to put on the red cape in Superman Returns. With the director Bryan Singer, the film felt more of a Marvel creation than that of DC. This is mainly because of his famous works with Marvel like the X-Men franchise. Now that Superman has been rebooted into the Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, will Henry Cavill become Christopher’s new successor, or will he also fail in comparison? With the advancement in computer graphics since the first films, and Zack Snyder as his new creator, it’s a good possibility.

With Superman’s powers expanding throughout the years, this creates match ups against other characters within and of other universes. Comic Multiverse will feature its addition of Superman VS, covering some of these battles in-depth, in result, to end speculation and debate. The most popular battles with Superman are: Superman Vs BatmanSuperman Vs Goku, Superman Vs HulkSuperman Vs Thor. Is Superman the greatest comic book superhero?

Comic Multiverse fan favorite artwork of Superman goes to deviantArt artist: BrianFajardo. Excellent work and style!

Captain America

new captain america

Captain America is a symbol for courage and justice in the Marvel Universe. The Super Soldier Serum allowed Steve Rogers to become physically stronger than most men of his time on the battlefield. Steve was able to survive being frozen through time only to become leader of the super team The Avengers. Captain America is constantly molding himself to the new ways of the world. His legacy of the past reminds the people of today, fearless heroism of one’s country. Captain America finds himself at odds with Iron Man on different occasions, leading to a Civil War of ideals.

Scientists across the world are looking for ways to extend life, find cures for diseases, and even creating human enhancements. The Super Soldier Serum may not be fiction as portrayed. We live in the world of science. Human subject research has been going on ever since the medical field has spawned. How else could we have medicines, vaccines, and even deadly biological weapons if they weren’t tested first? Captain America’s origin was based around the timeline of WW2, when Germany was eliminating Jews through scientific testing and/or direct genocide.

The Super soldier serum would benefit a character like Batman, who has no superpowers. Most non super powered heroes have trained their bodies and skills to peak perfection. Before the Super Soldier Serum, Steve Rogers was frail and was considered unfit for duty in the US Army. If such a serum was taken by Batman, his physical condition would be greater than Captain America, since his physical condition is at its peak already….

batman4

Like many other characters, Captain America has made his transition from the comic book to major films. Captain America:The First AvengerCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, and Civil War brought Steve Rogers to life with excellent stories, matching very similarly to the comics. Actor Chris Evans played multiple roles in the same comic movie universe, as Captain America and Human Torch. Does Chris changing characters distort the cinematic universe??
